When you consider the population density across the country, yes. There are 4 time zones: East coast, Midwest, Mountain and West coast (excluding Hawaii). The "right side" = East coast and Midwest, which make up the vast majority of the country. Then you have the Mountain time zone, which has very few folks, in the scheme of things. Then finally, West coast. Which is very small compared to East coast + Midwest. But it's still a large population.
