joannesrats 26
So comparisons have been made. I have my own thoughts, what are y'all's? I love both songs, but for different reasons. EDIT: Forgot the poll

ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY 6,270
I'm really confused why she would start a song so similarly to MANiCURE the verses in MANiCURE are killer and always think this shoulda been seen a single because it was in my top 5 on ARTPOP. i think I'll eventually like A-Yo more because musically it's more dynamic and the lyrical quality seems better than MA MA MA MANiCURE 💅
Gabe 2,415
MANiCURE was my jam, but the twang and beat of A-YO for the time being is so much more
ArtGagaPop 61,940
MANiCURE, i will wait for the studio version for A-yo but so far i don't really like it. While MANiCURE was one of my favorites from ARTPOP.

Tycho 3,694
I was waiting for MANiCURE 2.0 because of the intro but it wasn't it
AlphaMonster 1,806
MANiCURE sounds uncompleted, it is not even catchy; most importantly, MANiCURE makes the listener tired like PI. A-YO is a total bop, clear hit. Funk influences on instrumentals, Country influences on vocals; it is a perfect pop song. Catchy, fun, and does not make listener overwhelmed. A-YO is clearly pop with influences from Funk and Country. MANiCURE sounds too forced with its vocals and elements it uses from Nordic Euro Rock. A-YO's chorus is life !!! Buddy 5,686
We'll see Something integral about the MANiCURE production was missing which ruined the song for me. And the can you feel it can you feel it chorus added in instead of the HEAAAL ME one is a betrayal I still haven't gotten over.

Glamourpuss 29,062
I don't think it's fair to judge when we haven't heard the studio version of A-yo yet. But I've heard A-Yo 5 times already and I think it's one of those tracks you get sick of quite fast because I've already had enough of it so I'm not going to listen to it again until the album is released. djBuffoon 12,118
Not sure yet. "MANiCURE" is an absolute blast, but "A-YO" has potential to be better. On paper, the lyrics are superior, but I'm waiting to hear the studio version before I say.
