No... If I was talking about ARTPOP I would have said "ONE of the singles" :flop:

I agree, it just doesn't make sense to make negative thread and comment over and over again. If I really disliked the direction she's taking, I wouldn't comment anything at all. There's a saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Or at least be respectful when commenting...

Maybe this isn't right thread to ask, but since op @ctherainbow knows about country music more, I'd like to ask, are the songs really THAT country? Because I usually dislike all country, but I do like this song (and Sinner's prayer is amazing, A-yo is a bop too) very much. As Gaga said about Million Reasons: “a country song mixed with funk and rock ‘n’ roll. You would never imagine it would sound that way… the feeling underneath the record is it’s almost got like a little bit of a hip-hop feeling. But at the same time, it’s not a hip-hop song."

My mom used to teach me the same exact saying when I was a kid. :rip:

And no, they're really not even all that country.  They have a country tinge to them; a few instrumental trademarks of country, and definitely a more classic country/stripped rock vibe, not the pop country that's prevalent on country radio these days.  If I had to describe it... it's not completely sonically country, but it has an old country heart and soul.  If that makes sense?

I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.

It was actually my mom too who teached me that saying too! :toofunny:

Yeah, that's what I'd think too - there's definitely country and stripped rock vibe in there. I'm really looking forward to this record, I think there will be a mix of lot of music genres!

Perfect Illusion was a total let down. It fcuking sucked. Don't even lie to yourself.

Million Reasons is too ****ing country. Wtf happened to making TFM 2.0? She's flopping hard and I'm done with her. I don't even wanna hear the rest of the album, it's gonna be a pile of ****. I'm allowed to have a negative opinion.

I can't believe how all of you deny so easily and scrap the previous music and Gaga you've been stanning for all these years..PopGa will be remembered forever.

I haven't scrapped anything.  The Fame, The Fame Monster, Born This Way, ARTPOP, and every other remix CD and EP that she's put out will forever be in my heart and in my car so I can play them and jam.  But I love the new direction she's taking just as much, if not even more.  And there are a lot of us who feel this way, and who will be adding Joanne to that pile of Gaga CDs in our cars, and then eagerly waiting for the next album.  Liking country or rock music and liking Gaga's take on them is not mutually exclusive with liking pop music and Gaga's take on it.  I don't see what you're missing here.

It has a lil bit of every genre, SP is more country vocally, but musically has a lot of soft rock vibes. I detect some Dire Straits influence in there

AY-yo or however its spelt has hints of funk, id call it funkish countrypop

MR has a lot of country a la Crosby Still & Nash but has some progressive rock in it, specially the live version with the guitar solo
