nswain1110 3,075
Just downloaded Million Reasons on iTunes and something sounds off with the audio, the vocals are really sharp and kinda hurt if my volumes all the way up. This has nothing to do with Gaga's vocal delivery at all, but the quality of the production and how they've presented the vocal within the production. I'm wondering if iTunes screwed up the quality somehow or if they received the wrong final copy.... I don't know but somethings amiss. Regardless, this is one amazing song. I always hoped she'd release something like this and I'm not disappointed, with the exception of the demo quality audio iTunes gave me. Maybe I'm tripping, but does anyone else get what I'm saying?? This has to be some kind of mistake - if her team downloaded the song right now and gave it a listen I guarantee they'd be like "F***, that audios screwed". I'm telling you guys something's not quite right with it. I listen to all my songs on blast, but I literally can't with this one. It hurts. I'm not talking about instrumental arrangements - those are fine and comparible to the live version. It's something to do with the arrangement/production of her vocal within the instrumental - it's really 'sharp' (the audio, not her vocal delivery/technique). Have you heard it from iTunes? FutureLove 1
I totally agree, blasting the song on my speakers first I thought they had added distortion and tried to give the song a "vintage" quality....however listening to the song in my expensive headphones for me the production took on a different quality, like I was in the room with her. It's actually quite intimate. I think we know Gaga is a big audiophile with different views on production and the listening medium. Perhaps she mastered the record with the intention of it being listen to through headphones or high quality speakers. PS: When ARTPOP came out didn't here and DJ White Shadow say something al la. "Please listen to the album in headphones"
