Everything from Marina

After EH, I thought FROOT was going to make it into the GP with at least a hit :crossed: I know she doesn't care, but she deserves it SOOOO much.

I'm interested in seeing what pop albums you guys feel were the most under-appreciated over the last decade. That could mean critics weren't kind to it, even if it sold well, or it could mean it was critically acclaimed, but the GP ignored it (or a combination of both).

Here are my top 5 most underrated pop albums of the last decade:

1. Art Angels, Grimes - it was universally acclaimed by music critics, but largely ignored by the masses. Such a shame as it's one hell of an album - definitely one of my favs.

2. Flesh Tone, Kelis - Also critically acclaimed, but just didn't click with the masses unfortunately. If you've not heard this, definitely an album to listen to front to back.

3. ARTPOP, Lady Gaga - We all know...

4. The Original High, Adam Lambert - You'd think that with Max Martin and his team backing him, the GP would have eaten up the shimmering hooks that litter Adam's third effort - alas, it never clicked (even if the critics liked it, which they did). Really unfortunate as this is by far my favorite album from Adam.

5. Dignity, Hilary Duff - Critics praised Hilary for her more personal lyrics and new, electronic/dance sound, but the GP wasn't having it (save the minor Top 40 success of 'With Love'). Personally, I never liked Hilary's music until she released this album. It stayed in my CD player for a solid 6 months (yes, CD players were still widely in use in 2007).

I have heard Fleshtone and stan for it.

Along with ARTPOP. (My absolute favorite album)

I agree with both of these. Electro-pop modern realness. Not much else I've listened to recently has compared. Some of my my other favorites are:

The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani - Critics expected a same opening  as LAMB but was considered a flop(outside of the same-titled lead single.)

Settle by Disclosure - Spawned the pop radio-friendly single Latch featuring Sam Smith. Which isn't underrated, but the rest of the album is house-influenced experimental genius. Lyrics backed with positive messages, it definitely is worth the listen.
