Honestly I used to play a lot with my sisters' dolls but I have grown up and the magic I felt when playing with them is definitely gone sadly but I wish I could still be like you and play with them. Keep collecting whatever you want after all it's your life, your choices. People will always have something to say, don't listen to them and just do you, be you and stay yourself.

I have always loved Dolls since at a young age. I have one older sister and my dad would always try to get me action figures and trucks and G.I Joes but I always was drawn to my sister's barbies, their hair, their fabric clothing. Eventually even my sister grew out of it but I still retained that love for dolls.
But now that I'm 23, I don't necessarily "play" with dolls anymore but turned into a collector where I keep them on shelves and enjoy their beauty but they do come down from the shelves very often since I love doll photography. It is now my passion, I wish one day to work for Mattel for Barbie or Disney toys merchandise.
Now go tell your mom, if someone is ever going to get a doll, This is THEE doll! :D

Lmao my mom was never ashamed of me playing with dolls when I was young, she truly didn't care, I just had phases sometimes I loved Barbies, sometimes I hated them so I cut their hair off and I would take my cars toys and would drive over them. My mom was always supportive of me. But yeah it's gonna be hard explaining my mom why at 18 years old I would want a doll. :air:

Even though I collect them anyways, it's a collector item, not meant to ''play'' with. I'm pretty sure lots of fans are going to get this based on the comments in this thread. I don't get why this is still seen as a thing. To me it's just a hobby and it's even so common for adults to collect them that there are tons of collector Barbies for like 100 dollars each year.

Buy it as gifts, with the wrapping etc, if you gonna pay it by.yourself. It will help not too look so suspicious.

If you gonna ask.her to get it for you, just tell her it is Gaga collectible item and parts of the $$ from all sales will be donated to BTWF
