There is no reason why we can't reform our prisons and abandon capital punishment. China, Iran, Sudi Arabia, Iraq, The United States, those are the countries with the highest number of state executions. Is that a list of nations you wish to be a part of? Probably not. There was no argument in my post, it was just an observation. If an individual is a threat to our society the ethical course of actions is to remove them from our society by placing them in prison, not by murdering them like they were a rabid dog.
