[Besides Adele]; the SB is one of the highest platforms ever. I do agree, though, that she's sending a lot of mixed signals. I mean, from playing at bars and clubs on a little mini tour to playing the biggest stage of the year at the SB, yeah, it's confusing. But the SB has been something she's dreamed of doing—apparently since she was 4 years old. It's probably like how she imagined that one day she'd be known for her music—back when she was still known as Stefani. But the general consensus is that she isn't trying to be that mega pop star again, at least not for this album. I think that some people need to get that through, because if she releases the album and you're expecting "The Fame" sort of recognition and stardom, then you'd be expecting the wrong thing. Stans want her to succeed on their terms so hey can feel good about stanning a successful Pop star and not a "flop".
