"No Tv Promo" is no excuse

People say PI is flopping because Gaga did not perform it in Tv shows. But look at the current top 10:

1. Closer
2. Heathens - Never got TV promo
3. Cold Water - Never got TV promo
4. Let Me Love You - Never got TV promo
5. Cheap Thrills
6. Treat You Better
7. Don't Let Me Down
8. Broccoli  - Never got TV promo
9. We Don't Talk Anymore
10. This Is What You Came For - Never got TV promo

Obviously, if the song was good enough it would succeed anyway.

She's making music she loves to make and if it doesn't do well, then it doesn't do well. Charts shouldn't be the underlying factor.

Heathens was in a movie soundtrack and had a top 10 hit before this song was put; plus they have dedicated little girls as fans.

Do you really think Cold Water is better than Perfect illusion? Quality doesn't mean success. You can say PI isn't very "the style of pop music that is popular nowadays" but not that the song isn't good enough. Are you specialized in music or something to be saying what is good and what is not? Quality is not related to any personal taste. It's her music because she with her team created it, she has every right to decide what she wants to do with it. And they're obviously saving the promo for the album, because it's more important to sell albums that song. if your """fan-ness""" depends on her success, you're not really a fan of her work but of her spotlight, a spotlight that only herself has earned with her work and that you shouldn't hang on. You're only supposed to be a customer of her product, not her manager. 

And they have all been promoted in someway. Some Justin nudes leaked and his company is always making promo everywhere , the Suicide Squad movie is being a success and it's getting promo, no one will remember Broccoli next month because it's trash. Here you havean example that success doesn't mean quality. Is theGangnam Style the best son ever then?

Stressed Out was huge and was released a little before Heathens was out too.

I mean..It would obviously do better with tv promo  Cheap Thrills was flopping for months in the US and she did crazy promo in order to change that.. I don't think that PI has a lot of hit potential but I do think that its current iTunes position can be blamed on the lack of promo

It became a hit because of the Sean Paul feature in the remix  and that's a fact .  that was a really smart decision the song reached a whole new audience because of that

I think it's hard for fans to accept that Gaga isn't basic pop anymore. It doesn't sell very well to the masses. I'm even surprised that the song has done well as it has. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But it's very different from everything else on the radio. Fans should take it as a compliment that it's not being grouped in with the Top 10. Gaga could easily do another Just Dance or Poker Face, but clearly she's going for something that's relaxed and personal to her.
