Funny fact (not fiction, please believe me it's true) is that between 2006-2007 my (ex) best friend started to call me Gaga as a "diminutive" of my name (Gabriele). I remember in summer 2008 I was watching mtv with him and another friend, the mv of Just Dance came on and we were all like "omg she's called like you omg it's true omg and look at her she's crazy omg!!" From that moment whenever a friend of mine called me Gaga and there was someone around that didn't know me they were always saying "is it because you like lady gaga?" and so I used to explain this. Then Poker Face was everywhere and eventually I fell in love with it. The rest of the album grew on me after that. I remember listening to BR, Alejandro, and Telephone demos, and by the time TFM came out she was my fave. I loved her because when I looked at her, I saw scary amounts of myself in her. Lol so much so that my oldest sister jokingly started calling me "mini-gaga". There's a running joke amoung the friends that I grew up with. We wonder if we ever ran into gaga at a bar/club before she was famous because growing up in NYC, she went to a lot of the same bars/clubs we did. We always joke that if we ever get an opportunity to get something autographed, is she gonna be like "hey I know you!!!!!" Lol I love you monsters.
