Gaga could be sexist, I don't know. Who the hell knows what goes on in her brain? But from this video, god damn. Let the girl live. She said "manly cry" because guys are normally afraid to cry or show that they're crying. That's literally it. Jesus, I can't stand how topics like these are blown to epic proportions. It's really not that deep.

You must learn that that is the exact issue.  Think to yourself why men are afraid to cry.  And ask yourself if that is valid.  If men really do have any reason to be afraid of crying.  Then think about what gaga said. and does her remark reenforce and support the fear towards men crying? because i certainly don't think her disclaiming men crying as "manly" cries to be making things any better.  If anything, she is reenforcing a reason for men to be afraid to cry because had she never said "manly" and only said "cry" they would be left to feel "unmanly".  which is bullshit.  tears falling from you face has NOTHING to do with how "manly" you are.

the word "manly" needs to be reanalyzed.  it is mistaken and mis understood.

sorry i know this probably didn't make much sense lol i'm just trying to explain a new perspective to you

This is some SJW type of bullshit, lol.

I agree that it's concerning that she's so thankful of men working with her tho, like why wouldn't they want to? That's the only thing I think we can criticize her for because your other examples are laughable.

Alright.  I personally don't think its okay to joke about stuff like that because it continues the stigma that men are weak for showing signs of emotion.

I understand that it isn't great that Gaga says these things, and that she's unconsciously prolonging stereotypes in some way. Even so, she's way more progressive-thinking than a lot of artists out there.

I need a winter candy apple and an iced gingerbread candle, both three-wick, or I'm boycotting.

Considering throughout this promo era she's been talking about her producers as if she was eternally grateful that men would bother to work with her, it's not sexist. She's been talking borderline "YES MASTA, YES MASTA. LET ME COOK FOR YOU, MY MASTA"

Oh my god. I noticed this too :rip:

Because i know i am.

@Gracious Gaga I think some one should do a little less so-called educating on sexism and educate themselves about the benefits of Socratic ignorance.

Going into a conversation with the attitude that you already know your right shuts down any real listening or communication on your part.

I did notice her mention some slightly problematic gender binary things during the latest promo.

I've always noticed she seems a bit ignorant of stuff like that. I don't think it's on purpose, she always means well. So it doesn't bother me really.
