I guess you'd be better off using "trans men/women/people" just to avoid the PC police. I don't have an issue with the word tranny either (and I use it sometimes when joking around), but that's one word you should be careful with if you use it. Btw I agree with you on non-binary people. They should obviously be respected and allowed to live their lives the way they want to, but there's no scientifical evidence. And you're right saying being trans is abnormal. People just get mad cause they assume that abnormal = bad. --- When will this trainwreck of a thread end? I know I'm not helping but Science refutes the gender binary. Seriously people what decade is your science from ? It's worrying. I've seen people in this thread discuss how science has proven that there are 'male' and 'female' brains and science admitted it was wrong about that ages ago! There is no such thing as our brains being wired male or female 100%. In fact it's extremely extremely rare. so yes there is scientific reasoning to support non binary genders and that the majority of people's brains are completely individual and not stereotypically female or male. And even if it didn't, is is relevant? It took us a long time for science to prove homosexuality is predetermined. Did it make it OK to discriminate against homosexuality and say it was a mental disorder/abnormal before then ? I don't think so. Because every time you say something is abnormal what you DO mean is bad. It means that person SHOULD be 'normal' and something is wrong making it abnormal. If you didn't think it was bad there are a lot of other words to use like rare for example which doesn't imply negativity.

I always kind of felt like she said that to **** up their interview just like she did by saying she had a donkey **** on Jonathan Ross. She was a new musician and wanted people to ask her about her music not what she was looking for in a man so sh thought 'well I'll give you something you're gonna have to censor'

Doily Skull 260
Did you know if you switch around the words for subtext, it can spell buttsex? Also, I really don't think she was being any kind of way, maybe that's how she interpreted it? LMAO. Maybe the dude cry like a horse and she's just like "well that's manly". Well that is rich. No sir, you accused me of overthinking just as much as I have done so to you. Not a valid argument to tell somebody they're wrong to feel how they feel. So you can bet I'm just gonna say it right back to you. I've already put up my argument. I've said all I need to say. If you don't agree with me, that's fine and understandable, but at least don't tell me I'm overthinking. ♥ Kindness Police.

I'm gonna stop now but thanks for showing everyone what feminism really means. Hopefully now people realise, you can stand for equality, but not identify as a feminist, not be overly offended by things which don't actually effect you, and not confactulate the actual myyogny that some in the world fall victim to with remarks like 'man cry,' 'get some balls' and 'mankind.' No one is saying gaga is not a feminist. For example Scheisse is one of my favourite gaga songs and I love the message but I cringe inside every time she says 'female' in it. We're women not females. And also using female is rather trans exclusionary which obviously isn't intentional of gaga as she wanted to include all communities in born this way but sometimes her language means her point is missed. It's not bashing it's just dialogue. Thank you my friend!!!! ♥ Kindness Police.

I didn't mean "bashing", as insulting or anything like that; I meant that I think Gaga isn't happy at all to see we are talking sh*t regarding a beatiful interview she made to let us know her father connection with her dead sister. Just have respect towards her and her way of expressing her feelings, because she is not insulting anyone. 30 minutes ago, SilkSpectre0 said: Science refutes the gender binary. [...] The majority of people's brains are completely individual and not stereotypically female or male. Do you know something about how our bodys work? Like, male and female voices are different by nature. Nobody here is talking about men being stronger than women; we are talking about the fact that it's not politically correct to say "manly crying" because men and women are completely equal. Well you maybe have to realize that a manly way of crying doesn't refer to being strong and not letting your emotions out, it only refers to a quite silence and calm way of crying, like not shouting etc. It's not politically incorrect, it's just reality to admit that man and women ARE different by nature. Not in terms of force, intelligence and anything like that, but in terms of voice, behaviour, emotions. Male and female hormones are different, and that an absolutely politically correct thing to say. Colourful

I think that you forgot that you started this thread to discuss an expression like "manly crying". I actually do not have mo more words because if you really believe that this kind of expression is sexist and you feel offended for that, well... have a happy life even if it won't be that happy because everyone will use expressions like that, and you will feel continuously offended. The world is not gonna change because some feminists say that they feel offended by some kind of stupid expressions that another feminist woman said. I wish you the best anyway. Goodbye.
