If you think PI is not a typical sound for Gaga

She is always experimenting so what can you call typical Gaga song?

My personal problem with the song is, that for the first 1:20 mins i love it so much, and after that it's so exhausting that i can barely listen to it anymore.

Someone just quoted me on this thread saying she managed to create an average song with an incredible instrumental, lol.

Okay, 1)Don't give me an example that I didn't even notice because I busy writing a reply and 2)All I'm saying is that I haven't seen any ''PI instrumental appreciation post'' on here since the song came out - I barely ever saw people complimenting the instrumental at all.

Maybe you're right and you noticed people liking it, maybe there's even a thread, but I was stating my own opinion from what I observed on here. :nails:

I noticed this.It's a masterpiece. :unicorn:

It is, its still pop and its still gaga. Her singing style has evolved and its gotten more powerful.  I can't wait for the remixes.  are there going to be any officials?  when would we expect them to be released?

Off topic, the beginning of MTN instrumental is ethereal af! I love it!

It makes me think of the never ending story for some reason

Yes!!!!, I agree with you, I was thinking about this yesterday.

I'm not an expert in music but I find some similarities between this two songs and I love it!!!... MTN an PI are both great songs, with a lot of energy and powerful vocals.

Nothing alike, MTN melody brings emotions every time tour hear it, remember Gaga crying the first time she heard it, "I cant believe you hear me so big" , she told to Fernando Garibay the only producer of MTN, the fact that 4 "major" producers came with a song that at the 00:30 mark hith the chorus is just a mess, see the song floping in fans and on GP, her worst single, period.

I think the instrumental of PI is nothing new and definitely nothing special... it's the signing that makes it so different, and the melody of the vocal part that makes it weak

Personally I've been a little puzzled by people claiming that Perfect Illusion is something totally unique and different than what's on the radio. I guess I have a hard time seeing it that way -- I thought the song was very tame as far as Gaga goes, pretty radio friendly with a throwback feel of Pat Benetar or Bonnie Tyler, and not particularly experimental. Though keep in mind that I don't mean that in a bad way, because I don't think good songs always necessarily have to get crazy and reinvent the wheel. But as far as PI being something totally "out there" -- I just don't see it. Or hear it, if you will. In fact I'm not going to criticize Gaga for doing something that seems more stripped down and rock influenced in her overall direction this go around, given that she took so much crap for being "too arty" and over the top on her last album.

I overall like the sound of PI well enough, and it does have her recognizable audio fingerprints on it for sure, but for whatever reason it hasn't made me swoon like some of her other work has. But as I've said elsewhere I still look forward to the album and still expect to hear some gems.

I was reading on mtv they say that its not rock but disco.  I also read that the key change in the song is among the best in pop. he vocals are strong, its just the production that could've been better, but overall a good song.
