There is the major hypocrisy. I became a monster after G.U.Y's video release but obviously not because of it. I watched the Monster Ball HBO special at the time and I fell in love with the confident woman I saw, hustling to MAKE IT INTO THE INDUSTRY. Then I found out she wasn't like that anymore and I've been rooting for her to be as great ever since. For me,to see her pretty much giving up on the commercial aspect of her career depresses me a little bit. You weren't even a fan during her successful eras so your opinion is invalid. I should be depressed after seeing Poker Face ruling the world and seeing PI flopping, but I couldnt care less. Why are those new fans pressed about her success? You don't know how it was when she was everything, and you don't know that she has never since the beginning cared about Billboard. ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula? Because she said she doesn't make music for the charts?! Those were literally excuses for her underperfoming album in a time where she felt abandoned, lonely and mentally ill. The fact that she's not promoting might be (I believe it is) rooted in something else. The way she talks about PI like it's an unprecedented masterpiece definitely makes me feel like she expected it to be a soaring radio hit. I guess the moment Gaga herself, her label or management saw that it's a no-no from a crazy amount of people, they changed plans. I think they might move on to the next single sooner than we think. Hide contents I believe those saying success is irrelevant either have grown accustomed to failing or are lying to themselves in order to cope with PI's situation. I get that artistry comes first, ALWAYS, especially when it comes to Gaga, but in the pop industry success is a demand. If you can't hustle your way to getting it, you're out of the game. I LOVE MY GAGA (I want to make it very clear) but it's how it goes these days. How do you know all of this if you have been following her since the last single of ARTPOP and during a Jazz era? You're just assuming. If you became a fan because you thought she'd slay the charts again it's your problem. she doesnt even care about promoting her own song, your job here is to enjoy the music she gives to us, nothing else. ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula? Akbar Yunadi 143
You know what guys? I'm not surprised at all. I'm hoping that the second single would help her in the chart. Or, she just loves the music not the bling in this era and looking for longevity akbaryunadi

Just lay back and feast as this audio guides you through new and exciting positions. Stop worrying about the charts. This album was never intended to be a chart dominating one. Gaga has been so disconnected from the music public the past couple of years. Just think about it this way. ARTPOP was like Madonna's Erotica. It ended her world domination stage but she still went on to become a respected and evolving artist. (See Ray of Light, Confessions, Music etc.) How many Erotica do we want? ARTPOP is already her Erotica.

Look at The Weeknd's Starboy, the song hadn't promo on the radio or iTunes at all, just some public banners and it's doing great. PI is a bad song in terms of success on radio, streaming, GP and anything else but some of Gaga's fans. Get over it And this is where i know you're full of BS and you just have a plain flat out hate-boner for PI. Starboy debuted #40 despite him coming from two #1s and many other top #10s from BBTM just last year. PI debuted #15 despite 3 years of pop-absence and barely no promo it also just hit #1 in Spain if you haven't seen my tag yet. Disliking the song is one thing. Actively spouting BS and degrading the song for other fans is a different story just gtfo Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

Snow 1,582
Well its not looking very good for PI but its not The end of ALL. There's no need for all this doom and gloom. So what is she's not The New MJ&M. Plenty of great legends aren't quite at that lvl but had still magnificent careers and legacy. Even if PI not a great single (#sorry, its not in anyway) doesnt mean Joanne doesnt deliver! Let's wait in patience. However, there seems to be quite alot of confusion in these references to Madonna's career. Firstly, M allready was like ten years to her career with absolute slayage (like 17 top 10 hits in a row, 12 top 5 etc. Even More all together) Secondly, Erotica was not really in anyway a flop. It had #3 & #7 us singles and FIVE top 10 in UK. Let alone The artistic value and impact. And she followed directly with smash soundtrack hit I'll remember + stadium tour and then Bedtime stories album with big hits yet again. And then came Evita, Ray if Light Music, AL, Confessions etc. Oh and ofcourse she did a jazz/bigband album with original Material and did a oscars performance before Erotica Truly her first commercial flop was American Life and that was only US (it had only one top 10 hit). Like in UK it had #3 single and THREE #2 in s row. So really she pretty much was on top untill her fifties and then still SLAYED touring. (And let's see how much Joanne will do and then think how much of a flop RH even was in hine sight, shall we) Sorry IF it was long and a bit OT, but I am just funding these comparison a bit silly.. Btw, if someone is interested a Crash course in M's chart dominance, Here's a cool compilation vid for it!
