She hasn't confirmed "PI" is pop, lmao. Pop is a broad term for the Intro-Verse-Chorus structure.

P.S.: Don't worry about the sound coherence and cohesion. Just watch Lemonade: it goes through pop ballads, rock-infused hip-hop, reggae, contemporary R&B, dancehall all in the same album

It was praised because it's good, you just have poor taste.

Then why do only two out of her six albums have real acclaim?

So tiring hearing stans come up with excuses for the success of others just because it isn't their fav.

Everything Beyonce does she is praised for it, but she only does the vocals everything else is done by her 1000 writers and producers and THAT'S why I'm lowkey hating she gets TOO much credit for nothing, @Harry honey I don't care about success literally my favourite artist is Björk who is not popular at all!

Pretty sure Gaga knows what she has put in her album better than random twitter people who heard it once and described each song with like 2 words :lana:

But the acclaim goes to the body of work not only the main artist... Hence only select works of hers getting acclaim, as I said. If they were really just doing it because of who she is then all her albums would be as acclaimed as the last two, no?

The credits are there on the record for everyone to see so idk why everyone gets up in arms about that. It's not like she's hiding. Plus I think you're discrediting her contribution anyway. If Björk is your fav then I'm sure you will have heard her talk about how difficult it is for female musicians to get the proper credit for their work, as though they have to constantly prove themselves. I always think about that when people do that to Bey and I also think of it when Gaga goes to such detail about her involvement in her music in interviews - she clearly wants to prove herself.

"I’ve sometimes thought about releasing a map of all my albums and just making it clear who did what. But it always comes across as so defensive that, like, it’s pathetic." Björk said. I wonder if Beyonce ever feels like this... Björk says how Arca insisted on letting everyone know how involved she was - many of Bey's collaborators have done the exact same thing. "I have nothing against Kanye West. Help me with this—I’m not dissing him—this is about how people talk about him. With the last album he did, he got all the best beatmakers on the planet at the time to make beats for him. A lot of the time, he wasn’t even there. Yet no one would question his authorship for a second."

No one is "coming for you" lol it's called a discussion.

I hope the album still is coherent in terms of sound!

Also: thank god she confirmed PI is pop. I can't at everyone thinking it is rock just because there are guitars in it

Or not even that but denying it's pop simply because not everyone instantly loves it or it's not dominating the charts. Lmao it's pop to the bone.

the most accurate description of PI that I've seen: "The Killers meets Kylie".
