It's nice I suppose, but I'm fans of a lot of artists that will never achieve huge success. I see them live, I buy their music. It's just not something I value that much at all. That's not really what the question is about though too, I mean it's more from Gaga's perspective. Why should she care? Like if I was in her position the last thing I would be worrying about is chart positions - I've made my money at this point I can make whatever I want and play to people who are interested in what I make. She's already proven herself capable of many great feats and the fact that she is an amazing artist, musician, songwriter, actress, and a wonderful human being. I couldn't ask for more, honestly. Obviously Gaga get there to be a legend (well maybe not MJ&M level). But she has to keep delivering quality artistry for many many years to get there. She is NOT there yet. No that's not close to what I am saying? I'm saying Gaga has already had a spectacular career, has accomplished incredible things, is continuing to accomplish incredible things, has made a lot of money and doesn't need to prove anything at this point. Not quite true, he had 5 giant albums. Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory. His last album (Invincible) sold 10M copies with little to no promotion because of a label dispute. However just like Michael Jackson now that she's no longer on top only those 2 smash albums receive continued attention. All of those were huge successes but 2 of them are still impacting and being referenced in pop culture today. I cant look into the future but with how commonly GaGa is mentioned by my gp friends despite not having a hit in 5 years, I'd imagine she's pursuing a similar route, just not quite as spectacularly.
