If you weren't jealous you wouldn't have posted anything. We really are the "but why not me!!" Generation. If you were one of the people chosen you would've understood. Besides, Gaga doesn't owe us anything it's her music she can play it for whoever she likes.

At the end of the day yeah sure I'm bummed I didn't hear it.. but I know I will eventually so I don't try and instigate tension. What was the point of you posting the thread if not to try and fan the flames at a time that is already very polarizing on GGD.

Stop assuming things about me.

You're assuming that gaga only wants certain fans to hear it when we all know she wishes we all were at that party.  But business is still business so the release date is Oct. 21st

People will defend the weirdest things.

this party was a mess, and it leads to already such a big divide between privileged/lucky/obsessive monsters and other fans who don't get the benefit of living in an awful city

In the day of SJW's, political correctness and people wanting to be offended over everything, Gaga  too has to be more careful about what she does and does not do!

They're fans that are close by, people that grew up on the same streets she did, and they treat her like a talented human being instead of a toy that incites jealousy when other kids "play" with it?

Just off the top of my head really.

Not sure I agree with this. Treating people like talented human beings doesnt include stalking them at all costs and being spiteful towards fellow fans.

...she's literally always done things like this? BTW Listening Party in (I believe) France? Didn't she perform ARTPOP songs in Germany? I didn't have access to either event but wasn't salty about it. So what if some of her fans don't have lives/have money to throw away, they can make little events like this? Who's to say it was even a good time or that they could appreciate the music. We are all getting it at the end of the day, I seriously don't see the outrage about it now though when this isn't exactly new for her to do..

You are all not getting what OP is trying to say.

The issue is not so much with these superfans having privileges to listen to the album one month early just because Marc knows them,

the problem is with many of them leaking info on Twitter and bragging right after, disrespecting her and the agreement

AND

her posting muted video to tease us, which was not needed, because this creates envy among fans and hierarchy and many fans already dislike the rude behavior of some of these stalker fans from the past, it's like rubbing it to your face "hey look how lucky they are, poor you".

Imagine Gaga inviting the fans to a Joanne listening party and ending up playing them all the album in silent, just like all the Instagram and Snapchat snippets. That would be iconic.

Yeah I got that, and I guess it is pretty annoying. But the easiest thing to do would be to just look away? I haven't even seen this muted video everyone's talking about, don't really have an interest to either, knowing that a full album of new material is on the way that I can listen to in the comfort of my own home, and not surrounded by entitled or self-righteous 'fans'.

People leaking information is always bound to happen; that part would be hard to avoid, and I'm sure she's aware of that.

And to put it simply - She has millions of fans, globally. 100 or so were invited to the event. Clearly, her intentions weren't to stir the pot and "tease" us into feeling so godawful about it; she was only trying to share a glimpse of the event for all of us who could not attend. It's a little childish to get upset over something so insignificent, when the album is less than a month away. Let people brag if they really think that makes them superior; a nice indicator of who not to keep in your life.

I still don't know why she posted the videos. I mean I'm not jealous, I don't live in the US, so I wouldn't even have a chance. But it''s mean to post a muted video of a listening party. If you do that, then do it without letting anybody know.

It's like a friend telling you they had such a great time at a party they didn't invite you to.

I look at this differently.  I am glad she says and does what she wants instead of what others would have her say and do.  She has said and done plenty of things that many of her own fans dislike, but she follows her own vision.  Even if she offended me, I would applaud her for being herself.  If she offends some people, maybe it's the price she is willing to pay for being genuine.

I live outside the space time continuum.
