She probably had another song in mind for a lead single. remmber they did the same thing for ARTPOP with APPLAUSE. she ended up hating applause not even halfway into the era. you could just tell from the tone of her voice or her energy during the performances. thots and concerns?? And they picked Applause over Sexxx Dreams/Aura (which I think both would've been cool visuals). Venus was a Bad Romance in the making and they just paid it dust. When I firs heard that, my initial thought was "ARTPOP all over again".
