BYE. It doesn't but she isn't just friends, she sang with a lot of them. And she already holds the legendary status but keeps it by "keeping up" with legends. 25 minutes ago, SychosSoChic said: Rita Ora knows a lot of relevant people but is she relevant? Not because she's performed with legendary singers. Come on, gurl.

xeynuraf 191
The claim that she changed the music industry by bringing back dance music to pop i will never get. Dance music in pop comes and goes all the time. She brought it back when she came to the scene but it goes back to hip hop and someone else will bring it back in the future. I dont know but can we love gaga without fooling ourselves?

Longevity.. her career is too early for us to talk longevity.
Snow 1,582
Okey this crossed The line to delululusion land waaaaay too hard so I have to comment. Are you kidding me?! Latching on to legends (by actual merrit) has NOTHING to do with being a legend. Gaga is NOT a legend and not yet even close with only a couple of succesful years and not many merrits. Thats just The reality of things atm. Let's see in 20 years time... Insulting to actual legends...
StrawberryBlond 15,383
I think this is a good point. It isn't just that she knows these people, she's performed with them and they've praised her talent. Tony said she'd be as big as Elvis and be around in years to come. He doesn't give that praise to just anyone. A lot of artists today have success and have done a lot of features but will they be remembered? Do any of these features consist of any huge names? Are they being praised by legends? Gaga's a rare breed in this industry - she's young and makes modern music, yet artists of all ages and all genres are falling over themselves to praise her. If she has the support of so many people in the industry, she can always maintain a certain level of relevancy and never truly go away. You can't be that adored by such an abundance of A-listers and just disappear or be forgotten about.
TheBatman 951
Changing gay culture? You mean latching onto and using gay culture. I appreciate that she spoke out on gay issues, but mannnnny came before her. As far as legend, I dunno, TFM era is pretty legendary already, sure. But is she a legend like prince mj Madonna or even beyonce, not yet
xeynuraf 191
A lot of people has had two very sucessfull albums in pop, a lot of people have worn weird outfits in pop, a lot of people have pandered to the gay community, a lot of people are way sucessfull at the moment so why exactly she is a legend? Just give her time and enjoy the music. She doesnt have to be the gretest and a legend to like her music. I am ok with her own vision of music. she does bring something different but im not going see her with pink glasses and think she is the second coming of christ.
