Is the choppiness of PI vid a metaphor?

So I watched the vid at 8am this morning, I was so tired so I didn't really appreciate the chopiness.... however I think it may be a metaphor.

The video is so fast paced it's difficult to concentrate on any particular scene.

In interviews Gags' has described PI as being so in love, in a rush, in an ecstasy that you lose track of reality, you can't focus.

I think it's a metaphor. Am I over analysing?

No the editing definitely makes it feel like you're on adderall, disoriented in a rage.

RIGHT? that's what I thought.

I think you are overanalyzing but I think that would be really cool if it did mean that

It's not a reach at all :toofunny:

They made the decision to go all shaky cam and create fast cuts for a reason. That was a conscious decision made. It felt like the camera was trying to keep up with the energy and passion of Gaga performing.

I think the effect they were trying to create was exactly what OP was getting at. The start with the crowd seems very dream like. You can't see anybody's faces, it keeps cutting around, time doesn't seem to work like it should. We see her performing alone in the desert and straight away see her in the same location except now she is in a crowd. We see her swinging her microphone alone and then swinging her microphone in the crowd. It's clear by the end that it was all a mirage or illusion.

It was fast paced like an adrenaline rush, it's supposed to be a little disorientating.

It's like I'm watching a bad action movie, reminds me of that god awful Bond film Quantum of Solace, those overrated Bourne films and Taken 2...
