Operation: Kill the Little Chartsters

you didn't hear it from me but apparently gaga lowkey blames ha fans for the meltdowns she went through a few years back. the pressure was too much from the media, and the fans. she grew such a close relationship that she didn't want to let anyone down but she wasn't making herself happy.

allegedly bobby had an intervention with her and asked her what he could do to turn things around for her and put the joy back into what she once loved doing.

venturing into jazz  was one form of escapism they came up with, it was also a brilliant marketing plan to showcase her true talent to the GP 2014-2015

she then made it clear that she wanted to shake off the people who only loved her for the charts. that's when the label/bobby and herself thought of the indie debut idea.

gaga has never been happier and mentally stable.

this is all an operation to keep the fans who love her for what she stands for and her creative talents, and to rid of the fans who only want her to top charts as ammo to pit women against each other online all day.

mark my words, she will lose hundreds of fans these next couple years, but it will apparently have been worth it for all involved.

i feel bad for GGD tho, they won't have the same amount of members to keep running! w/e tho as long as the queen is happy tbh

Ive realized its not even about charts.

Its about making music that i originally started liking her for.

Like with Britney, her GLORY era aint doing great on the charts but she made a quality album that stays true to her original sound...just with a 2016 twist. AND IM LIVING FOR IT AND HER

If Gaga makes an album of music that i don't enjoy, how am i still going to be here? I'll always be there for her as a person, but not as a pop star.

its as simple as that.

Brilliant move. Cut the fat!

The Little Haters are only here because they hate and fear the Little Monsters, and will say anything to hurt the one thing we Monsters love most.

inb4 this backfires and she unwillingly becomes the biggest pop star again :toofunny:

The saga continues :legend:

Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad.

I wasn't here for numbers anyway :laughga: I knew since the start that this era wasn't about to be the most successful record in her career. If I don't like the music, I won't buy it

If this is true it's the cutest thing and I'm even more hard for Bobby.

Little Gaga in a happy bubble.

It's cute enough that I don't care about songs.

:sara:

I hope she becomes stable again tho

gagadaily will end fast if they dont start making an effort to support her messages. i cant with these mods. allowing these negative fans to run free and just micromanaging things like  all caps threads and **** like that lol  i cant.

You really think her happines depends on the fact that she has a group of fans who enjoy following charts and want to see her success on that area?

I personally don't give a **** if all the Calvin Harris-loving basics with their stupid snapchat flower crowns don't adore her music anymore.   Charts mean nothing to me, as most of the music I like is not GP-friendly anyways (k-pop, deep house, world music, classic rock, 80s/90s).

But, like DiscoHeaven23 stated, I am nervously crossing my fingers for those strong melodies and unexpected song structures I grew to love Gaga for.   When I first heard "Judas" (not a warmly received single) I was floored by the aggressive sound and unexpected chord changes.  I didn't think it was possible for a current musician to match my music tastes more than her "Alejandro", but Judas was everything I had wanted to hear for the past decade and then some.   When it premiered, it was like all those years of waiting through the terrible naughties music finally rewarded me on the other side at the start of the 2010s.  I couldn't have cared less that the mainstream didn't exactly embrace it.

So while I love that PI gives the middle finger to the establishment pop landscape, vocally, I feel It is missing that gaga-ness quality that I can't put my finger on.  It rears its head during the bridge but not anywhere else.  The best way to describe that quality is...funky?  It's what you hear when she sings "As long as I'm your hookahhhhh" or "boy now get your paws right off of me".  It's something fun, a little soulful, yet somewhat dark.  I'm just not hearing that in PI - it's like all those contrasting layers are lost somewhere in a flat melody.  Luckily, PI is not indicative of the rest of Joanne, so I am still holding out for some complex melodies and vocals.  I truly believe it's something she excels at, that none of the other big names can do quite as well as her.
