Yeah because kids singing along to rude boy, work or S&M is very very familiar.

Bitch please you were saying a month ago that you wanted Gaga for the halftime show. Take your pills and go to sleep.

She doesn't want Gaga because she's not a big event performer like Bruce Springsteen, James Brown and Aerosmith back in the day, but she wants Drake?! What is she saying??

I enjoy watching her talk but seriously? Drake? DRAKE?! DRAKE OVER GAGA?! Gurl :madge:. Also I am p*ssed at the amount of claps when Wendy asked if she's good for the SB.

They're sheep, literally ****ing sheep. Shows the mentality of her fanbase. "Yas queen! Bully ha! Tell her she had saggy tits!" - her fans

Reminds me of another fanbase I know

Two more things I'd like to mention...

#1 - Yes, Wendy is being 100% contradictory to her remarks about Gaga at Super Bowl halftime compared to a few months ago. But please remember... Wendy nearly lost everything a few months ago when she made the horribly misguided remarks about historically black universities and the NAACP. She had to do some major backpedaling, completely contrary to her "say it like you mean it" mantra.

Now, I commend her for having the maturity to recognize her mistakes in those comments. But, as a daily Wendy watcher, I've noticed that ever since then she has been going out of her way to win her "black pop culture" credibility back (hopefully that does not sound insensitive; it's not meant to be, just not sure how else to say it). Wendy's entire persona is rooted in black pop culture, since her radio days. It's been her base for over 25 years. She cannot afford to lose it. It's only with this daytime talk show that she's had to diversify and cover more "white pop culture" topics.

In this case, with an artist like Gaga who does not really get played on urban radio, especially compared to the other (bigger) pop acts of the moment (Drake, Rihanna, etc...), it behooves her to shade Gaga and hold up the biggest pop acts of the day, who also happen to be black (Drake and Rihanna --- you can't deny they own the charts right now).

She's just being a savvy marketer. I don't believe she is actually this opposed to Gaga's halftime, but she's trying to brand herself. Right or wrong. This is just how the entertainment industry works. I'm not trying to make justifications for Wendy, but just shed some light that she is still in "damage control" mode from a few months ago, and dragging Gaga is an easy target for her here.

#2 - Wendy actually has a point. Drake and Rihanna have the freaking midas touch right now. Gaga has not had a radio hit in 3 years, and has not produced consistent radio hits in over half a decade. Why should Gaga be the halftime when these other options are just as much, if not more viable for mainstream audiences?

Again, please don't drag me! None of this is meant as disrespect toward Gaga OR Wendy. But just remove yourselves from the Little Monster mentality for a moment and think like an entertainment industry business mind. This all makes sense for Wendy to air this perspective right now. PI is really struggling. This is just her serving the tea that the people want. Let the woman do her job.

Gaga will be back.... Maybe not in this era (or maybe so?), but it will happen. But we have to be patient and let other entertainers have their moment. Drake & Rihanna would be a brilliant selection for the halftime.

Lbr, most fan bases are like that. But Wendy's (or at least her on camera ones) seem to be the most blatant examples. Have they ever disagreed her? Hell, they applauded Gaga but then did the opposite when directed not too. Even monsters go against Gaga sometimes.

I do, but the Super Bowl halftime is a whole different situation... Americans are very vocal and possessive about their Super Bowl experience. I'm not sure that most folks would appreciate a Gaga halftime, tbh.

Again --- that's not shade to Gaga. That's shade to my fellow Americans, LOL.

Gaga would have to put on her best performance ever!! But she will need help....

1. Okay, she's a sell out. Cool. She's like Trump, she says she "says it like she means it" but she doesn't.

2. Just because they have more current hits doesn't mean they'd be better choices. When Beyonce did the Super Bowl first, it had been years since she had a big hit. It should be about who the best performer is and Drake and Rihanna can't out do Gaga there.

Funny how she talks about the people as if she represented them. She's attached to her own opinion, picking up untalented people like Drake over Gaga...let ha talk, nobody knows her.
