I kinda agree? But if she is really continuing with this mindnof musical direction, i'd say what she's doing right now is the best thing for her. She needs to transition gracefully and not alienate everyone.

I don't think it's so much that what she did was dishonest as much as her life has changed. Are you familiar with Russian nesting dolls? The ones that, as you pull it apart, there are smaller versions of the same doll on the inside? That's how Gaga's career has felt to me from the beginning, if you imagine the smallest nesting doll representing vulnerability. The Fame was this fully constructed image, Gaga's thesis, interpretation and perspective on popular culture at the time (what it was, what it could be, who she is, who she wants to be...). The Fame Monster saw more of the dark undertones of fame, who she is, what fame could be etc. seep through, bridging the gap between her and this braver version of herself (Lady Gaga, as opposed to Stefani). Born This Way and ARTPOP part of that very same journey. I see The Fame through ARTPOP as being the first 'chapter' of Gaga's career. It actually makes a lot of sense if you think about it: the first record is about hypothetical fame, while the last album in this 'chapter' is about Gaga's lived experience as a famous pop musician and her reaction to it. Joanne is now Gaga stripping that back and reflecting her personal life as opposed to reflecting the world of pop culture. She's bridging the gap between her time living in the fun house mirror of Gaga and her own personal experience. Even if it's a persona, even if Gaga is just an 'idea', it's an idea that comes from her, that she believes in. It's a lot like how Bowie had Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The Thin White Duke etc. They represent parts of her, ideas within her, her own feelings but also how she sees the world around her. Being a pop or rockstar in the eyes of Gaga and many of her idols is somewhere between your actual self and your aspirational self. I think that, much like Ziggy made Bowie brave, Gaga has made Stefani/Gaga brave. I don't think it's dishonest, I think it's art. 

Not to mention that I think the end of the Born This Way era into ARTPOP made her reevaluate a lot in her life. I think she felt abused and devalued by people she worked with, the media and fame. I think it caused her to take a step back and consider what was really important to her: the music, her friends, her family and her fans. Not money, not chart success, not fame. I don't think she wants to be commoditized in the way that she willingly did before. I think she just wants to make music that she feels strongly about, not responding to pop culture, but being a part of it, hence the Russian nesting doll idea of bridging vulnerability and fame.

He only said Gagz can't do both: pleased the pop/mainstream fans & pleased the alt fans/look for a new sound, we all know she tried/said she was gonna put out more experimental music with ARTPOP (Act 2?) but at the end she delivered pop to pleased the fans & have a hit, he thinks this is happening again with PI, and since he is a fan, he's only worried 'cuz he doesn't see the evolution to a more alt/experimental sound even when she's trying... and he also enjoyed the project with Tony, and i agree with him, a lot of yall complained a lot about her jazz era, guess what, next year she's gonna release another jazz album.

So yeah, she lost a lot of fans with ARTPOP, then she lost fans with C2C, and she probably gonna lose some more with her next jazz project, so like the OP said, she should really fully change to another sound cuz pop fans won't be there, rn with streaming is perfectly visible that she's not a force anymore in the pop world, so yeah... she needs to get her **** together and go fully pop or change her sound and find another niche

Even if I dont like her new music doesnt mean I should get out because I generally like her as an artist but maybe not her new album but I do like her new sound, I just want her to really experiment with the new direction instead experimenting while trying to remain mainstream.

Ive been to 3 Gaga tours and traveled to see her and been a fan and a member of this site since 2008 so no need to question if im fake.

Her name is LADY GAGA -- That is the ironic contrast from the get-go. She can do whatever self contradicting body of work she wants.

Further Examples:

LoveGame - "Do you want love or do you want fame" -- contrasting ideals

ARTPOP (album title) - Art is generally considered high brow and Pop Music is usually considered low brow -- contrasting ideals

It's even in the foundation of her name.

As a fan you can't try to tell her what kind of music to make and spend your days trying to tear her down if you don't like it. You want her to do anything as long as YOU approve. You're entitled and quite frankly I'm exhausted. Get over yourself. If you don't like it, there's the door!

Yes I do want her to do something I approve of or why else would I be a fan? its not entitlement, its just sharing my opinion with some other fans to see if they agree. Also, I never said what kind of music she should do, im just saying that she should go all the way with the direction shes choosing instead of doing both.
