It is so Gaga. The chorus is kinda similiar to Poker Face in its structure and should be as catchy to the GP. Just because it doesn't have that other bubble gum factor like po po po poker or applause-plause, people made up their minds that it is not worth listening to it.ย Sometimes I think what is happening right now is sort of a mass hysteria. People are not allowing themselves to like the song because it is not doing that well in the charts although the song is a really good one, but they allow themselves to like the mediocre Closer and even say it is better than PI. Everybody knows Gaga songs doesn't have obvious and "sweet"ย melodies like Katy Perry, for example, so I don't know why expecting that from her. Not even Bad Romance and Poker Face are like that.ย I look pressed because of the commercial stuff,ย but I'm not. I just can't with people acting like it is the worst song of her discography. If the second single is gonna be stronger commercially wise? If the RedOne ballad is like You and I or Speechless I think it is gonna flop, but if it is a power ballad like TEOG it can be stronger. mee 381 Posted September 18, 2016 Share Posted September 18, 2016 I hope so, when i look at her previous lead singles IT COULD HAPPEN: Just Dance ( my favourite song from The Fame, but there were also many other good songs, Poker Face was even stronger fot the mass ) Bad Romance ( monster hit and the strongest song on TFM ) Born This Way ( this gives me hope, this song is for me much weaker than all the other singles and weaker than many songs on the album ) Applause ( in fact Do What You Want is much stronger and i'm sure people were surprised when this were the first single - it could be a monster hit as the first single from ARTPOP and with another r'n'b musician, in my opinion it would be now one of the biggest Lady Gaga hitsย ) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

This completely, many people always look down on people who care about the charts but at the end of the day they are crucial in helping Gaga do what she loves.
