Thats the thing. Some fans just forced themselves to like the song, to give it the chance to grow on them. However, I am pretty sure that other people not as much involved with her work, would never do the same. Most of people I know here just gave it one chance and weren't really willing to hear the song again.

She did lost her chance to impress people with a comeback after 3 years.

There is nothing we can discuss about it. I am glad Lady Gaga seems to be happy with her work nowadays. But I get into such a bad vibe to wonder she might have never been completely satisfied and true with her previous works.

It is not her worst song and I see why it would make it to the track list, but not as a lead single. Specially after 3 years.

And to think joanne is not even a concept album makes me wonder why it took her so long to make it. It seems like all the songs have their own theme and not related to one another. With 11 tracks not fitting into a certain theme, i feel like the album could have been written in a few months instead of years

It is a "filler" track but it was brave of her to release that sort of a track as a lead! It shows artistic growth to release a song even when it doesn't become a hit. It sure sounds different from every other song out there. It does not sound like a Mark Ronson production but that must mean he is also changing and evolving, and trying new things.

You never know until you try!

Yeah and I kinda feel glad Mark and her friends encouraged her to develop this sorta of musician side. I feel at this point, that is all she is looking for in her music life. To explore possibilities, to learn more and grow as an artist. This is brave and beautiful and she should not be stopped from that long road!

But I still think she could have chosen another song as lead single, specially under the circumstances. Maybe to get people to look at her again so she could prove she is an amazing and creative musician. This song will not be remarkable at all. Just seem to me like a bad timing to release it.

And the bad timing just gets worse when there is no promo at all. Why isn't she giving interviews at TV already? No performances, no MV yet (which to be honest, I am not even excited about if there is just her swinging the mic)...

Right, it was also released right after the vmas which were a promo opportunity. Now no video and two weeks and only a radio interview. The song is almost legitimately beyond saving (CHARTWISE), and that's okay, because if Gaga wanted it otherwise, she would have done it otherwise. Clearly Bobby is a good manager, just look at all the other things he's done for her. So I believe that this was a collaborative idea between Gaga, her manager, her label, and her executive producers. They are literally not interested in the charts. At this point it's too late to change their minds, but I think they settled for this.

I'm sorry, but I was popping my mussy all over my room 10 seconds into the song. This is my second favorite lead single for Gaga.

I'm not going to let all you bad-taste having FLOP fans ruin this experience for me.

The only thing that's in bad taste is what you've written here.

I don't know if this is weird, but I feel like Stefani, the genius musician, and I are somehow connected. Like we're one and the same. Like, I get why she released this song as the lead single. I totally get it. I know a few years from now you people, or should I say sheeple, will like the song once the entire world catches on. Once the entire world has moved in this direction.

You guys don't understand us. We're leaders. We're not followers. You're either with us or against us.

If you don't like it, sign off the forum, go join a Britney Spears forum, titillate yourselves with that reductive pop drivel, and let us big kids enjoy this era.

I'm sorry, but you sound like you've been doing acid! At least you found an interesting spiritual path. However, it doesn't change the facts in this topic, and that's okay! That's what we're saying - that it's okay.

Hi all

I'm in love with PI. Absolutely infatuated. I do not understand the venom toward this amazing gem. Yes it IS shocking to me that this is free falling on itunes. And yes I know the video will help but this is what we've been waiting for for 3 years. Radio has been foaming for new Gaga and now even they seem to be getting put off by the iTunes charts. This is going to be an amazing era I feel it in me bones but id be a liar if i said all the negativity and the publics indifference isn't messing with me to a degree. I played it on my Sony Walkman at school ( I went old-school coz Gaga wrote this with a typewriter) and they all made fun of me. Its so depressing for me that ppl use her as a punch line or that I should be ashamed for being a little monster. Charts arent the most important thing but I'm praying it will go back to number 1 on iTunes. Future projects depend on the success of this and i want to have plenty of Gaga in the future. Sorry for the long rant.

Okay Norma Desmond. lol

Gaga's popularity will inevitably fade. The best we can do is hope that in the face of her fading relevancy she has the balls to follow her creative passions, and not sell out in the hopes of remaining relevant.

this, i think that happened to Madge with HC,MDNA and RH :rip:  Her las albums i enjoyed were ROL, M & AL :rip:
