Delulu Rogers 7,235
If this is what her label thought was the best song on the album to pick as a lead and get the hyped started then i pray for the album. Mess

I'm so excited! I don't want another Judas performance mess when she couldn't handle that. But do we really deserve that? ARTPOP and PI has shown that most of 'LM' don't care about her artistic vision, they only care about sales... I don't remember any big meltdowns when ARTPOP came out because everybody was saying that it was great album... the mess started after its underperformance. I want to say that we should focus on the good music, I think that it's all what Gaga wants from us atm. I totally agree but there are some fans out there who actually like the song without giving a damn about how it's doing commercially. I personally view songs that way, I don't care if it's a lead single or not, as long as it's a great song I'm gonna cherish it as much as I cherish the lead single. I am truly worried about this record. Not necessarily true at all. And some of the best songs on any of Gaga's albums are far from the most commercial. Jay.P 2,336
None of her lead singles are the best songs from the album, except BR Do you hear that? It's poison.

Just dance, love game, paparazzi poker face etc.... and the fame monster best songs were also the hits bad romance,  Alejandro, telephone!  Besides those meantioned, speechless is the second best song on that album. So I can't fully agree with your argument, because it's honestly! Truly half true...

As her sounds became more daring (by pop standards), the singles became a bit more dubious in quality compared to the albums as a whole. I'll argue that "Just Dance", "Poker Face", and "Telephone" are not the best songs on their respective albums, but yes, with BTW and AP, there were some superior tracks that would not have made sense on the radio. They're apart of the hit collection, and are better then the songs not released as hits.  Born this way is honestly, truly the only record your statement applys to because overall art pop was a horrible record. The songs were over produced and not as catchy as previous releases material. Sometimes I wonder if she had a lot of help writing those songs. Don't go off on me because I'm a  Gemini, but I love art pop to death! Venus, guy,  MANiCURE, sex dream, swine, do what you want e.c.t. But that album is all over the place, but as a Stan I love it. But as a musician who plays and write music it needed a better focus.

I do wish "Swine" was closer in arrangement to the iTunes Fest version, and perhaps a bit more clarity in the overall theme, but I find it much more cohesive and impressive than given credit for.
