Uptown Funk and Cheap Thrills were both by Artists who weren't well known/established.

Chandelier peaked at 3 and has over a billion views, and Bruno Mars has many top 10s before UF

I wouldn't say she was unknown in pop since BTW. DWUW was definitely relevant here in the US.  It did well enough, but seemed like it could have smashed if it were only handled properly. Literally everyone I know liked it more than Applause.

I think PI's falling seems to be from lack of promotion. The video isn't even out yet. There's still a chance for it to do just fine!

It would've easily went heads on with Dark Horse. And even if it wouldn't win in the end, it would peak and stay at 2#. But Gaga half-assed it, so

it wasn't laaaahv

Read my post above. And Chandelier peaked at #8

Sia and Bruno were massive before those singles. And people thought, and some still do, that UF is a Bruno song, not Ronson. Stop.

Dude, Gaga and Bruno are very different artists...just the fact that she's a woman and he's a man already puts them in very different categories...the way she's still perceived by a large portion of the audience makes this comparison impossible. PI will probably debut in the top 40 and that's as high as it will probably go...and it's ok, tbh, it's not a problem if her fans don't make it a problem...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
