Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson might not have had the same peak of fame that Gaga had, but they both are very well established artists.

Bruno even did the superbowl halftime show :oprah:

Well we can start by lowering our expectations. PI is a good song but it won't smash imo. PI it's a grower and it takes many listens to get into it. Just enjoy this mini-era and wait for the second single if you're a chart follower because I don't think its MV will help much.

If there are people who still believing there's a Venus video done and never released and that DWUW could be released someday... then why not?

I don't know to be honest. I don't really see the song debuting at like #40 but then growing because the song just keep falling on iTunes and everywhere for no reason

Sleephits are established songs. They might fall into top #20 but then it stops and grow again.

Perfect Illusion just keep falling, even with the song playing on TV and radios playing it..

But, we had Just Dance -> Poker Face on The Fame

So we still having a chance with the second if PI end up not "having it"

Nope. I will agree that Bruno Mars was huge when Uptown Funk was released. But Mark Ronson wasn't really well known. The GP didn't know of him. His only hit was Rehab and it wasn't his song. Sia did have many hit songs, but wasn't really know as she was featured on those songs. Chandelier was her first solo smash, but she still wasn't a main popstar. Alive didn't perform well and radio didn't pick up on Cheap Thrills until the Sean Paul Remix was released. Since the success of Cheap Thrills she seems more well known. It after all is one of the longest songs to stay #1 on radio this year.   I was in no way saying that these artists aren't known now, but at the time those songs were released they really weren't

It took Sia 23 weeks to get to the top spot on the Hot 100, one more week than it took Just Dance. Britney's Womanizer jumped from 96 to 1 in a week, and Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck Without You jumped 96 spots to number 1 in a week. Anything could happen.

One important thing to note with Womanizer and MLWSWU is that they charted from early airplay and then jumped to number one with first week sales
