That's right! I'm from the UK too - in your opinion Haroon, do you think it will be able to climb higher?

I'm not sure to be honest :spin: I don't think a music video can change things that much after promo's already done and stuff, unless it's like super amazing like Bad Romance or Telephone or something :laughga: We'll have to wait and see but I'm not really expecting it to go much higher if at all - I'd love to be proved wrong but I won't be upset if I'm not

Bad Romance debuted at #14 here :sis: Who knows where it'll go from here, I hope up but you never know, considering Born This Way and Applause both debuted high but also peaked at their debuts I think

I think we both know it's not going to be like BR. It'll be lucky to enter Top 5 here :grr:

Yeah I highly doubt it too but I just thought it was a good comparison point about debuts sometimes not being a full telltale sign of longer term success  Plus I wanted to be nostalgic - it was a beautiful time

This shouldn't come as a sudden shock or disappointment for anyone who was watching iTunes throughout the week lol.

It's going to have a hard time but it can still do okay. Radios have only just playlisted her today. It's a weak debut for a star of her size but she hasn't been relevant to people here for three years, and even then there wasn't much impact. More work is needed than a few radio interviews that no one listens to - starting with the goddamn video.

And she went to all the major radio stations, as well as a few little interviews on tv. Kinda disappointing  I guess they just aren't here for the song.

Well to be fair, heavy promo (tv, mv, performances) haven't even started. She will at least have a 3 peak

Okay. Not bad, not great! Not great at all lol. Airplay on radios is growing, and it was the 20th most played song this week, so the chart position is okay when bearing that in mind (http://ukairplaychart.com/uk/). With more airplay, the video and maybe a lil TV i think it should at least go top 10.

It will probably be out of the top40 next week unless there is a boost from the MV and airplay.  Doubt she will be back in the UK to do performances for at least 4 weeks.  I think by the time she promotes in the UK again she will be focussing on the album and/or 2nd single.
