It's not "real" for her and she'd much rather have a normal conversation with her fans than become an object for them to take a picture with. But as fans, obviously we only have one shot at meeting her and we want to capture that moment in time. I know some fans probably just do it to post on social media and brag about it... but others genuinely just want to have their picture with her so they can look back fondly on the time they met their hero. I for one would feel guilty asking for a selfie. I feel bad that I would want one, knowing how much they devalue her. Does anyone else feel the same? Or do you just think she should put up with it because it's a small price to pay for being famous? I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!! Red 97,983 Posted September 14, 2016 Share Posted September 14, 2016 When she said she doesn't like to take selfies I don't think she actually means the fans she meet at the street but like, people that go backstage or people she meets at events cause she said she prefers when people talk with her and you can't really do anything when you are seeing her outside her hotel, for example, other than asking for a selfie and tell her yaaassss you look SO good If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. Anyways it's not realistic to have a genuine convo with a fan in the 30 seconds she's with us if she is outside her hotel or something. AndrewGr 6,022 Posted September 14, 2016 Share Posted September 14, 2016 Actually when you have to deal with a crowd of 30-40-50 people it's much easier to please the majority by taking quick selfies with many of them rather than try to engage conversations with each and every one. I am sure she enjoys talking to people and getting to know them at the Meet and Greets, but in normal meetings at public places it's just not realistic. I've seen videos when fans try to talk to her and she just moves on to the next person to take another selfie. I think the whole thing was just a way to make a statement about her new song tbh, and not a declaration that she hates taking selfies with fans. She just doesn't like being viewed as an "item", but she knows it makes her fans happy and she doesn't hate doing it. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Gaga did not mean it this way because she understands that it's a special moment for any fan, and a selfie is a great way to relive the memory.
