She can keep the music she "loves" to herself, or as an album track. A lead single should be something that appeals to everyone and actually sells her name and her brand. Marketing 101.

 You're missing the point. The point isn't to appeal to everyone. The point is to make music that she loves and completely adores. She's not going to promote something that she doesn't love—she's learned from past mistakes. 

Again, if you want some generic, completely marketable pop music, go somewhere else. Gaga's not the artist for you then. She's much more than the "artist" that makes music just for the hell of it. She's a true artist and true individual.

Considering these circumstances, I think it's great. Obviously, Gaga doesn't really care about the charts and has decided to make music because it's her love and her passion. Instead of us worrying about how/when it's going to debut, how about we just listen and enjoy then music?

EDIT - Also, what I'm trying to say is that we've waited for a single/album for so long, and know we have it, and now some of us feel like she's obligated to give us a #1 hit. She isn't obligated to give anyone anything. Enjoy the music for what it is, and if it's not your cup of tea, then maybe wait until the next one.

You are so right. There are people still out there who havent heard her stuff in 5years (2011). Reason why so many media outlets/radios refer to this as her comeback.

I also do like what gaga said in one of her interviews she said she "feels like a new artist" and that is wonderful to hear, and that is most definitely what this entire Perfect Illusion promo and release feel like. Like she is a new artist that has to work hard from the ground up.

People obviously haven't been listening to she's been saying, because it's been clear that she just wants to make genuine, passionate, heartfelt music. They only see the numbers and compare that to The Fame/TFM, or Born This Way and say "She was doing so well! What happened now?!?!" 

What happened now is that she wants to be more open and genuine, and now she can do that. Not to demean her previous works. They're all, of course, 100% her, but she's even revealed that this album is more autobiographical and non-conceptual. Some people just want to look at things face-value.
