It all ties together, too. All the radio-based promo. The song sounding nothing like EDM hits of the day. Recording at Shangri-La instead of the Record Plant (where she recorded nearly all her past albums). Working with Mark on an "analog" sound. Releasing PI and rejecting all the "social media" fakeness. Making an album that has nothing to do with "the Fame." Debut performance of PI in a tiny bar, just like her early days in NYC.
