This is undoubtedly one of her most iconic performances and helped skyrocket her to the super fame. Let's look back on it. I love how you can hear the crowd gasp in horror a truly amazing performance and truthfully the reason I'm a fan! I realized today was the anniversary from my memories on facebook. The VMAs aired the day after in the UK and I somehow managed to go the entire day without reading about her performance so I was able to have a genuine reaction when I watched it. I remember being shocked, disgusted, creeped out and actually scared by her. I couldn't stop thinking about the performance, and it's now my absolute favourite performance of all time.
