Leaving GGD - Please read this

Hey,

I know it won't interest many of you, and I don't care, but the wildest side of my ego pushes me to announce that I'm leaving GGD, and I'll explain to you why. Of course, when I'm talking about GGD, I'm talking about some fans, not all of them nor the admin whose I respect the work of running the website like professionals. 

1. GGD spoils the pleasure of being a fan

Since I've been visiting GGD, my experience as a fan has completely changed. Before, all I care about was how I could enjoy the song with my friends, or how I should dance to it. Now I do still care about these, but I am tortured by the questions whether Gaga is flopping or not, whether the radios are playing her songs, whether people are liking the song or not. Why do I care about that? It's irrelevant and useless concerning my experience of the song. 

I waited for Perfect Illusion for three years. I expected to have the same reaction as I had when Applause came out - screaming, dancing, crying -, but it was nothing alike. I was anxious, perplexe, confused. I was wondering "How could she be succesful with this song?" and "Will she succeed?" and "Will it be like The Fame Monster era?" I was not enjoying the experience of discovery, and I regret that a lot. 

I have realized it all changed because of the many threads concerning her sales predictions, stream updates, VEVO views, radio plays frequency, and all those things we fans should not care about. In the beginning I was checking those threads just for fun, because I thought it was interesting. Now it's almost a necessity - I will not be enjoying the song if it's not succesful or if my expectations are not met. I enjoyed being a fan much more before joigning GGD. 

2. Little Monsters and ARTPOP?

If Gaga taught us something with ARTPOP, it is definitely #MusicNotTheBling. However, many of you seem to pay much attention to the bling with Perfect Illusion, rather than only the music. How is the song selling? How often is the song being played? Is it #1 or not? "Oh not! Gaga is dropping to #2! She is over, she is flopping!" Are you kidding me?  Cannot we just enjoy the song? I am sure Gaga'd be desperate if she read us sometimes.

Before PI was released, the lesson seemd to be learned, and I was very confident concerning the future of this fanbase. But since PI reached #1 in +60 countries, it is as if we never went through ARTPOP and its message. Monsters are hungry for chart achievements - if I can call these "achievements" and it is very sad because ARTPOP was so much more than an album, an era, a bunch of performances and controversies, it was a philosophy, and it looks like many of you forgot about it. You just came back to being a basic monster. Again I am not talking about everybody! Those concerned will recognize themselves. 

3. Little Monsters and Born This Way? 

Moreover, I cannot say monsters are particulary kind - it is not as if we went through the birth of the Born this way Foundation. When a fan expresses his opinion upon something that is not shared by the other monsters, he gets criticized and discredited, and is seen as an outsider. The problem is similar with many other fanbases. That's the actual problem with fanbases. But the difference with other fanbases is that our fave is Gaga, and that she's been promoting kindness for a long time now. While we are supposed to have grown up, some are still bitter and dominative. Again another lesson that some did not learn. 

Finally many of you are delusional. You all think Gaga is perfect, she is a living goddess and everything she does is right. You are wrong. As much as I love Gaga, I know that she makes mistakes and that it may be her fault. ARTPOP was not her best album NOT because of her manager or us fans, BUT because of her, because she was on drugs all the time, because she recycled some old shitty songs to make her own, because she could not reinvent herself at that time. And it's alright, because she is not perfect! She is a human being and she can make mistakes and know more trouble times. But you all should open your eyes and realize that Gaga is a woman, someone like us, and she is the first to remind us of that.

I hope I will not be the only one to open one's eyes.
