Except that it's worrying because it doesn't even sound like current hit-material regardless of what you think of the song. We cannot rely on GP's taste to ensure that it gets to it's peak...

Top 20 debut is a given! I want to say #13-17 for some reason (totally arbitrary).

thanks for making this thread. Some LM need to chill

If the GP let it die, there's nothing fans can do about it.

Do you think she'll pull an ARTPOP and let a potentially fantastic era die if the song underperforms, mr. president?

ARTPOP died because Troy left and Gaga was overwhelmed with being her own manager. Unless Bobby leaves, I doubt we'll be seeing an ARTPOP sized disaster. Besides, this is music Gaga herself wanted to make, so I doubt she'll pull an Applause and publicly trash the singles :rip:

I think the GP are SO HERE for it. I'm in the Boston Gay Men's Chorus and I have friends that hated her after BTW and ARTPOP. They texted me the morning PI came out to say how good it was and how happy they are to have gags back! I know this is anecdotal, but this particular instance is probably happening everywhere!

The fans in general have terrible taste.

Everyone loves it except other stanbases and little flopsters. I'm not worried.

Can anyone tell me how much rise and other top ten songs at the moment sold in their first week?

PI will most likely debut inside the top 20

I can get you a few wiki results, un momento

Rise: In the United States, "Rise" debuted at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, for the chart of August 6, 2016.

Cheap Thrills: In the United States, the song debuted at number 81 and peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the issue dated 6 August 2016.

Couldn't find anything on Heathens debut, but yes, it's all very volatile. There's no "right" path to topping the charts.

Thank you for this :applause:

I'd rather see PI have a slow start and climb its way up than debut in the top 10 only to drop drastically after tbh.

Or it can drop out after the first week ala GUY. Flop queen! :firega:

PI is obviously debuted inside the top 5 for sure. No question. Its sellimg waaaaay more than other songs on iTunes except maybe Closer. Streaming is the only issue. Stream PI on Spotify! :grr:

Just Dance debuted at #76 in the Hot 100.

And today is one of the best-selling singles of all time, having sold over 10 million copies.

But will it happen again with Perfect Illusion? Hard to tell... Gaga is not new in the scene, but then again Drake wasn't either. It's up to people accept Gaga's change or be disappointed for not having the dance pop they are expecting from her.

It has been so polarizing among fans that I'm not expecting a better acceptance from the GP. But again, Bad Romance algo got mixed reviews upon debut, as many of you tell... So the video will be crucial to PI's success.

I think PI will debute top 10

Though I also this the song will be a grower (in both radio and charts), Gaga just needs promo in the USA and video out

ugh this chart obsession is so boring. lets support and celebrate that she's back, being creative with POP again, and not let sales effect your preferences that much :neyde:

I wasn't worried about it in the first place. The song exists no matter where it charts. Maybe you should buy a pie chart and grids and calculators and power point presentations and flow charts and statistical analysts, and let the rest of us enjoy the song.

But the song its still #2 which means that she is selling more than Sia's new track, with a proper video.

Just gonna be honest, I can't imagine it being a really big hit. It just sounds too jarring for radio. But I don't care, still love the song and I support throwing something real and risky out there when everybody's expecting a safe, instant smash to put her back at #1.

But if it does happen to take off, outstanding. I'm ready. I'm just gonna treat Gaga like an alternative artist from now on rather than a pop star. She's clearly not going to compromise herself for the charts, so it's time for all of us to get into that mindset too.

But its Selling really well on iTunes tho. Streaming is the ONLY problem.

If Cheap Thrills which deputed at like #81 made it to no. 1, P.I. can as well. If Gaga does enough promo and Bobby handles it well, that is.
