HOTNebraskaGuy 19,547
"CTC is the end to the beginning of my career" - Gaga in 2014. This basically confirmed LG5 was going to be the first album of the 'new' Gaga and her career. We knew she was gonna come back completely different than before. My question is- why did people still expect something amoung the lines of Bad Romance, why did they expect "outrageous" outfits, bubblegum-like pop, and choreography intense songs? To the upset monsters: I'm just saying, maybe you guys should've paid more attention to her words, then maybe you wouldn't of been so disappointed. Dangerous Man 9,245
Yes we are back to zero. We're starting from the bottom. Queen of bottoms. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
Poissonche 12,365
She really said that? I didn't even know she had made it public and that's how I saw it, so for the people who actually knew about this quote... Gaga 2.0 was happening, and it was not a perfect illusion. Spoiler this song has made me make soooo many bad jokes already it's terrible.

They want what they want as long as they don't villainize Gaga for putting out a song she believes in or attack other fans for loving it (or god forbid actually spread hate against Gaga ). I'm sure there's at least one song on LG5 that they'll love...or at least tolerate. If not, she'll put out more albums in the future. I think everyone on both sides of the debate just need to calm down a little 🌸Flourishing and vibrant🌼
Chic 20,830
1. Half of what she has said about her music in the past is likely not to come to fruition, or already hasn't. 2. She is prone to changing her mind or being unable to fulfill certain expectations, so we take what she says with a grain of salt. 3. She worked with RedOne for months way after that quote. 4. She potentially even changed her mind about using any of her and RedOne's 8 new songs for LG5.
VANTABLACK 7,793
Lol Gaga still released a dance pop song so IMO she gave u gays exactly what u wanted . I honestly was expecting something way different . Hence why I was upset at first listen of PI . But I guess we have to see until the album comes out . I kind of have low expectations at this point which is actually very refreshing to feel , complete opposite of ARTPOP

ARTGOD 3,266
I've always seen ARTPOP as the end of the old Gaga, if you actually take the time to understand the meaning of that album it's pretty clear she's going down a whole new path this time. SpookyKid 15,153
I love when artists do this, for example Marilyn Manson with Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood in 30 years we well see TF, TFM, BTW and AP as one of Gaga's many stages as an artist Life has a hopeful undertone |-/

Which is exciting. i always wonder, isnt it amazing that her career from The Fame to ARTPOP is equivalent to a lifetime career of any other current artisist. It's like she's evolving faster than anyone else. To think that she started a bit later than any current pop stars (22 yrs old) 8 years of this whole evolution. start of LG 5 feels like a new lifetime for her.
