Imagine if you judged BTW on the song BTW...just no. And this song is better musically than that song, which I've always felt was a little flat and obvious compared to the rest of that album.

Going to have to say to this: nothing is worth "stanning" a term which denotes love without any kind of intelligent examination of why or what quality an artist puts into their music. Should you stan? No, you should just be a genuine fan, love what you love, and accept that the pop gods tried to stop the tide of change, but Funk the Punk is coming for you.

I think so. Gaga is one of the few artists that are actually interesting and I really like Perfect Illusion.

But if you don't think it was worth the wait and not worth stanning for her no one here is forcing you to stay. You know where to sign out.

I've been a member for years.I think I have the right to make a discussion even if it's not what you wanna hear

She devolved, not evolved. She became worse than she was before. #sadfact

Why do you see it like that? 😀

I don't think there will be something that make stop stanning. She is a person to follow in life. :unicorn:

Nobody cares that she didn't conform to your warped idea of what you expected from her.

We didn't "endure" her adult music, we enjoyed having something mature to listen to.

She is 30 years old. She is not going to sing about vibrators and telephones her whole life.

Some of us like the fact that she has matured in her music and isn't still churning out faux sexual tripe into her mid adulthood. What's she going to do, sing 50 of the same songs aged 35 when she has a kid and Vegas residency? How pitiful that would be.

Maybe you're not mature enough to be a fan.

Would I care for it if it weren't Gaga's song? No. As you said, what Gaga really brings to fhe song here is her vocals. Were anyone else to sing this song, it would not mean anything to me, but Gaga's expression through her voice in "Perfect Illusion" really hit me. I know that not everyone will feel the same way as I do, and what I'm talking about is totally subjective, but I don't think I've heard Gaga's voice sound so fierce on a studio recording. She's powerful here. I think that, after working with Tony, she's more secure as a singer.

Of course, but what's the point of being here if you don't think it's worth stanning for her anymore?

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

She still delivers QUALITY, and we all know she doesn't release her best works at first. This album will be amazing and she's still the best idol.

¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula?

I can name at least 50 songs better than Poker Face, Bad Romance, Born this Way etc... from last two years or from the last two years since the date of they release.

You are all spoiled kids! Hyped spoiled kids!

It's catchy songs with some rock influences (vocally)

You don't have to like it, You don't have to support it.

This is the song you got 3 years later cause it was the song Gaga wanted to make right now.

Also, Gaga keep doing things and the main problem is the 3 years. Her true fans kept with her, even when she decided to make jazz and go to AHS.

Would you expect her to simples ignore what she did this years and start from ARTPOP. She's an artist with many talents and everything she does will evolve from what she did before.

Last time I checked she was singing the national anthem and performing at the oscars or making jazz music.

Damn, even Perfect Illusion fits the story arc of the countess in American Horror Story (I highly doubt that is about Taylor, it fits the countess way more).

This is gaga post jazz

this is not gaga post ARTPOP

I'm not surprised by the haters since many here thinks that ma ma ma pa pa pa perfect illusion if a good song.

Its sucks! It's the cheapest thing I ever did. (I hope that kid keeps trying cause I believe we learn with our failures)

Unstan Gaga and get out of here. If the song was terrible i would understand... at worst is just ok. Live with it or go away!

Kiss, Kiss :)

I stopped at "it all started with The Fame". You honestly have to move on. When BTW came out I thought the song wouldn't do great but it's one of her greatest hits. You have to appreciate the music and the artist and let them evolve and not hold on to the past. Beyonce lost a lot of R&B fans when she went Pop. Change is all in what the artist feels and if it means alienating some fans in the process then hey it happens

READ MY F*ING OP. I CLEARLY stated that what I wanted wasn't her to stay the same and sing the same BIG POP SINGLES for her whole life. I talked about the clothes too.Do you wanna discuss? Yes? Then listen to what the other person has to say

A song that's repetitive is NOT always a bad one. In Perfect Illusion, Gaga screams and sings the "repetitive" lyrics in a very ragey way which makes the song very "alive". It's a genuinely amazing song. I honestly don't get the hate

This. It is some of the most visceral and immediate vocals I've ever heard, from any artist.
