Cerny 4,270 Posted September 9, 2016 Share Posted September 9, 2016 So I keep reading lines like: you just wanted pop that's why you don't like PI, Gaga is growing as an artist leave this fan base and delete your account you fake fan. You need to appreciate the song and if you don't like it don't say it, don't "spread" your negativity. Well, some of us wanted a good executed song whatever the genre, who the hell is saying we wanted "pop"?, it's just that some of us honestly think the song is pretty mediocre, some us think that Gaga, Kevin Parker, Mark Ronson, Bloodpop and Josh Homme can do better then this. I keep hearing that the song is so good, the raw vocals omg (we already know that Gaga can sing), omg have you heard the key change? Yes we have and it is badly implemented. How can a song be as short as three minutes and yet be so repetitive?, after the first 30 seconds you've heard the entire thing. It's so unimpactful. It progresses really fast for a mid-tempo song and Gaga's vocals are processed really raw. It goes 0-100 so fast and just stays there that the key change loses impact (which isn't helped by sounding near the edge of her vocal range). PI is an interesting and potentially good first half of a song glued to a lazy and unfinished extended outro that goes nowhere and does nothing, after the bridge Perfect Illusion just gives up. there's a key change and then she just sings the same thing over and over again like a 2 minute outro to a song that never properly arrived. Her singing and the key change are the biggest offenders for me. The key change is so dated it's embarrassing. It's a cheap way to make your song 'climax' if you don't know how to properly create a climax using instrumentation and melody. Her singing seems forced, she reaches a high and remains there pushing. Props for a pop song without a lot of fluff and dead space, but this is just a brickwall of belting. Now, I'm happy that most of you love the song, that's awesome, but some of you are incredible close minded you would expect gay people (since most of you are gay) to be more open minded when it comes to different opinions, what's with the "go away you ungrateful fake fan, no one cares about your negativity, delete your account", I mean... There are Gaga fans and then there are others with some worrying crazy stan mentality. Anyway, I felt like I needed to vent and I think that's valid since this is a forum, no? no everythings going to be Yasss and slay. Also, I'm happy that Gaga's newest single is doing well, and, still can't wait for her album to drop, hopefully there is something that tickles my fancy. Have nice day and sorry if this is too much.
