PI is a guaranteed hit with radio support

I know radio support is very important for every song, but I feel like radio support is specially important with PI. The reason I say this is because this song is so addicting and it gets better and more catchy the more you hear it. This song might sound weird and different, at first listen. But the song just keeps growing on you. I have been listening to the song on repeat, and I want to stop listening to not overplay it, but the songs just brings me back. If the radio overplays this song like they do every other song, the GP will end up loving it and and it will become a big hit.

I definitely agree, I hope the radio deal first week really helps people appreciate so they buy it/request it/stream it. I feel like Perfect Illusion is similar to Uptown Funk in that it doesn't seem like it could be a hit but it is so infectious that people ended up loving it even though it is vastly different from everything else on the radio at the time.

Because is not what the GP is used to listening on the radio. Is very different. So the song might sound "weird" to them.

I have to admit when I stop listening I find my self having to listen to it again, I can't go 15 minutes without listening, I think because it's new too I forget bits and what it fully sounds like and I just keep going back to it. It's a drug to me omg

This. Though, Uptown funk is a lot different in its reasons for success.

The progression is the one thing that is weirdest about it. From verses to chorus, it's just seamless and not something you can find in popular songs atm. That may put off some people, will appeal to others.

Then there's vocals, so raw and what's a good song without autotune right? Just ask the recent Vanguard award winner.

And then there is the key change which some people find awkward.

The only thing this song needs is faith.

It will be a massive hit if radio station have some faith in it. It takes a few listens because it's a very in your face and strong song. It's weird, but it's an excellent song.

I'm not so sure that radio will keep on playing it. Once the radio deal is over, they might drop it, and consequently bury it.

I definitely agree with that. No wonder it's such a short song because goddamn im addicted. Anywhere i go online, i end up listening to it. I need help.
