PartySick 154,459
That's fair I personally love that Gaga goes in a different direction every time she does anything. She slays bubble gum pop, she slays piano ballads, she slays country/rock, she slays actual rock, and PI slays too. I signed up for a versatile artist that puts everything she has into her music and that's exactly what Gaga is 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡

Lona Delery 7,213
I dont agree with everything you say, but I do not really like PI either. Not because it's not a pop song we expected to get from her, but because it is underwhelming but overwhelming at the same time. Underwhelming in terms of the melody. Its basically just 1 note for each line she's written and it doesn't really go anywhere. The only really good part is the bridge and the key change, but afterwards, it's getting really repetitive. And it's overwhelming as well because... The production and vocals I got a headache after listening to it for some time. It's loud and messy and it sounds really unfinished as well. Too much going on imo, and I really dislike her shouting so much. But Gaga's lead singles are never the best songs on the album, so I hope the album delivers. But oh well, I already know I'll be called a hater for not liking one song out of her discography Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride
Lord Ryry 3,367
I hope the entire album is filled with ballads
Just Justan 80
I got to "my 19 years of existence" and it all made sense. You didn't grow up with 80s pop rock masterpieces so the nostalgia isn't there for this kind of record. And that's okay. Not everyone likes this kind of music. I can be anything. I'll be your everything.
Evan Peters 10,732
Nobody is bashing people for others wanting pop. People are getting made fun of because they offer nothing but a vague complaint about how the song isn't "gaga" or whatever excuses y'all come up with. A ton of you also expected gaga to come and deliver some full on pop song despite it being KNOWN that there was gonna be rock influences not only on PI, but the album as a whole. It's not gaga's fault that you put words in her mouth. if you don't like PI then fine. But don't expect to NOT be met with people disregarding what you have to say/not taking you seriously when your opinion consists of "this is ****! I want the old gaga! This has terrible lyrics and her voice is ugly!!" I'm not talking to you directly, OP, just a general statement towards the negativity on this site. Honestly, this fanbase is extremely ungrateful. I'm all for expressing opinions and not liking everything gaga does but some of you are so obnoxious and repetitive. emma roberts is an abuser
ctherainbow 3,162
I get this, because if I was only into pop, I'd probably feel the same way. But I'm not sure what you mean when you say you "signed up for" PopGa. That was what she was serving you at the time, yeah, but... I mean, for instance, she's talked about loving Bruce Springsteen for YEARS, so I'm unsure why you thought/why you expected her to stay on the pop train forever. I personally follow Gaga because she's an excellent, versatile vocalist who sounds great doing many genres of music. If she's grown outside of the box you'd like her to stay in, then I think it might be in your best interest to either let the box grow, or perhaps listen to artists who stay within that box. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.
Bebe 17,053
I don't blame you for feeling that way, but I also don't think it's fair to blame Gaga for not delivering exactly what you want. I personally didn't become a fan of Gaga because she was a pop star, I became a fan because she was a different kinda pop star. I liked her theatrical, educated approach to performance and I liked her musically trained ear and songwriting. I've always been attracted to the feeling that she could go in any direction. She could go rock, she could go jazz, she could go disco or get funky. She could go all bjork on us or she could go pop rnb. She could make an album that was just her and her piano. That appealed to me, her unpredictable nature. I've craved something more than electropop since Born This Way. With that being said, it's more than understandable that Gaga would attract people who are generally into pop, considering that she packaged herself as a pop star and proudly called herself a pop star. You liked Gaga because she was a pop star and that's cool, but it's also true that maybe that's not all she wants to be.

DeleteMyAccount 11,881
The problem isn't that you want more "pop" but that you sound like a controlling manager that only wants their artist to act a certain way. I mean Gaga spent so much time lately saying how she wanted out of the strangle hold of fame and her earlier years in the business.
