ThatAsianGuy 2,365 Posted September 9, 2016 Share Posted September 9, 2016 So i went thru different sites like youtube and forums and the one thing the fans say in common is they hate it, its basic and they keep comparing it to TFM. I understand where they coming at cause first its a departure from the Gaga we knew plus she clearly said she will go back to the same TFM style so that led to confusion. If you hate rock and roll theres lil chance youll like it cause its heavily influenced by it + if youre used to the songs with verses , prechorus and chorus PI has different construction... Another reason to adjust. But tbh I didnt like it at first listen considering im a rock fan and i mistakenly thought that the chorus is just a pre chorus and made me want a proper chorus. But With a few listen i started liking it. (Not that im forced to... It grew on me). I will not force monsters if they dont like it . But if you have time take a few listen to it. Some songs take some time to grow on you. Take Applause for example... I hated it at first and i thought it sounded wrong but after a week i loved it. The problem with us is we dont like change. But Gaga is an artist that always wants to grow and try new things. So lets drop the hate and support Gaga ok? She needs us rn and our coins jk. Lets Support Perfect Illusion! Why do you all need a pre-chorus like it was the air you breath? Why do you need a "conventional song structure anyway? PI has a typical pop song structure. There is no pre-chorus, so what? 3. Prada 1,200 Posted September 9, 2016 Share Posted September 9, 2016 This morning ( here in Turkey its morning) i was going to write bad comments about PI even though its on replay on spotify-youtube etc. However i must admit that now after 6 hours and multiple listens,this song may seem basic but its grower.I thought it was as basic as a Eurovision song but I WAS SOOOOO WRONG.I believe with a video everyones gonna love it.For example when you listen Bad Romance,its songs visuals that effects you too.Song is exeptional but video adds alot too.. So no, even if you like rock and roll doesn't mean you'll enjoy this song. It's a very, very underwhelming song considering the producers she worked with. I'm not even talking about how long we have been waiting for it, it really is all about amazing producers that feel wasted. It sounds oike Gaga produced this song all by herself. A truly amazing song will not take more than one or two listens to fall in love with. Problem is, people just won't admit that. Let's be honest, though: this is not Gaga's best work. I can't help feeling she could've done a much better job, especially when you consider this is the album's lead single, which is kind of supposed to hook people in.
