In fact, i like the piano covers on youtube better Because it is, lol. It is painful to listen. I had to put the volume like 10 on PC to be able to listen. Otherwise my ears would bleed. Swan Heart 7,382
It's not shouting? They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Wild 1,296
Because the song is emotional. It's about seeing the truth and sometimes that's hard. Her vocals make me feel a little sad for her but also liberated. She sounds like she's going through something tough but is pushing through it triumphantly. I prefer her shouting. To the style of mumbling over a pan flute and a trap beat that a lot of her contemporaries are utilizing.
chiuga 1,970
So Whitney Houston was shouting in 'I wanna dance with somebody'? And Mariah Carey in all her classic big ballads?

Justo 1,192
I don't mind it at all. I'd rather be able to hear her voice clearly like this instead of it being overpowered by all the musical instruments.
Andres Miller 206
Oh my god. The original post is headache inducing. Don't like it? Very cool. Move along. Thats why she is the artist and you are apart of the audience.
Mardy 259
I just can't with the vocals on this song. It annoys me she would put out song like this. Even vocals on Dope were better.
MrJakeNathane 90
She isn't shouting it's just a grunge rock vocal technique! She's deconstructing the pop star image!
SamJ 8,008
4 minutes ago, Hope said: All these theatrical vocals, shouting IT WAAASSNN'TT LOHAAAVE for 2:59 I mean what's the point? Who told her that it would be a great idea? Even some monsters (let alone GP) aren't loving this loud mess. This is nowhere nearly to be a GP-friendly. I don't think anyone would want to make their ears bleed. Its more gp friendly than applause was definitely! Applause sounded clunky and not catchy. PI is instantaneously catchy, its loud and proud and theatrical and very Gaga, applause seemed like an attempt to fit in with the changing music scene and was forgettable, I love it but applause was more of a grower than pi which lodges in your brain after 1 listen. Its proper music, she's showing passion and determination and I love it!

Bye 3,947
The detractors are so used to robotic autotuned voices of pop girls who can't even sing. Behold, this is a real singer with an authentic song.
