I cannot wait to see this live! IT WASN'T LOVE IT WASN'T LOVE IT WAS A PERFECT ILLUSION. Take your mediocre outdated Europop expectation elsewhere. Don't quote me, I'm in heaven. Basically this, I just absolutely love this song, the vocals are on point!! <3 I get chills while listening, I'm suprised at the really rough hate here, I thought most would like as much as I am... Her own fans are the worst apparantly This is my first impression, so you all should give more time before you trash too much. Spoiler There would be emoticons but they aren't working, lol

It's almost like an old school Bonnie Tyler song! Makes me think of a dancier Total Eclipse Of The Heart. For those complaining about it not being danceable and there being no synths in the song... Really? You can't hear the synths? Maybe your ears are clogged. They're just not the kind of synths we were expecting. The breakdown is killer, I love those creepy descending chords. I love how it goes up an octave to add some variation to the last chorus too. 10/10, Love ya Sister Gags <3 Your post makes me think of Pat Benatar's Love is a Battlefield. I think it's important to think of PI's influences. I think in today's music scene we're just programed to assume that a new pop song will sound a certain way. KingRedd 3,139
Can I please enjoy this moment. I refresh GGD to enjoy this moment after 3 years of her not releasing original music with other fans and I mostly see negativity. Why post it? If you honestly don't like the song then fine, but what's the point of attempting to become a music producer and criticizing the entire song and ruining this moment for other fans. You know you don't like it so keep it to yourself or wait until it's not brand new to already down the moment. I'm over it already. You guys run to the Internet to express your "opinion" but it's just unnecessary hate. I hope we lose some members on this site after today and the real fans can actually have fun and discuss our Queen. May I Read You? 😎

Ahri Under You 410
I like it, but I think it should have more lyrics towards the ending parts. It doesn't feel "complete" to me. But I think it will grow on me more

SCAR 97 1,038
FULL DISCLOSURE: I like the song. MY TAKE: -After the first listen, I was honestly disappointed, almost angry....I was bopping by the 4th listen. -This might be my favorite production from any of her songs -I still cringe every time she says "it wasn't laahhhvveeee" -the bridge is INCREDIBLE, I live for her nasally chanting -love the key change, but wish there was a bigger boom in the production to accompany her voice -definitely repetitive, but catchy -she really took Tony's advice to never autotune her voice to heart.... -I don't really see this winning over the GP or being a big hit, but we shall see -the lyrics are 1000000x better than Applause -this music video better be chaos
Bebe 17,094
Born This Way was always like ehh to me, Applause was the same. I always find her lead singles a little underwhelming and then love the second single and album tracks. I actually love Perfect Illusion It kinda reminds me of something. Specifically the "It was a perfect iluussiooon" part, I can't place my finger on it but it just sounds so familiar to me,
Glitterngrease 482
I do love it but it doesn't feel finished. Hmm. I think maybe I'm just not used to it yet. It's totally unlike any other Gaga song. That key change is seriously stuck in my head. I love it.
shoful 13,304
You ungrateful monsters!!!! THIS SONG IS AMAZING! The only way to make it in this industry is to reinvent! None of her songs will ever sound like The Fame again. Get over it! Move on now or you will never be happy! I LOVE THIS SONG. ITS ****ING AMAZING. ITS MODERN ECSTASY!!! "My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..."
