My final thoughts on it can be found at the end of the posting. I first listened to PI at 5 AM in the morning, I was sleepy as f*ck and just wanted to take a quick listen, before going back to sleep. I sat there, listened to the song, and hated it. I was like: "WTF is this sh*t? How can she even think about releasing such rubbish! I am done." I went to sleep again, when I woke up at 9, listened to it again. Still didn't like it. Then it happened. During work, I couldn't STOP singing the chorus, it stuck to my head like crazy. After coming home, I bought PI and it's my jam ever since I know I am mess! PI certainly is a grower that infiltrates your brain and conquers it one beat at a time. Really awesome song. UPDATE September 18: "Beware of first impressions, they are true." PI is a mediocre song, much too repetitive and short. Nothing ever happens, and the chorus is boring. I don't know why but it sounds like a demo, but it's definitely original and nothing like what we have on the radio today. YeehawKylie 7,817 Posted September 9, 2016 Share Posted September 9, 2016 I think it is her best lead single. I love it. The glam/psychedelic rock vibe, the piercing vocals, the lyrics. There is such attention to detail on the song. It gets better with every listen. I totally get that some won't like it at first, but it'll appeal to the masses soon enough. The video, I have a feeling, will be iconic as well. I won't say the song is revolutionary, but it is very different than most of the popular music hitting the charts these days. Sounds like something straight outta the 80's, and lbh the 80s, 90s had the best songs with the best melodies. The songs back then were so simple, the lyrics and the melody was the priority. Not saying today we don't have some good ****, but everything sounds the same, there's a lot of dance songs (featurings with djs) that seems to be popular and I'm so happy Gaga always choose to do something fresh and new. We get so used to **** like work work work work work or some big tempo dance type of beat that this song might come off weird as ****. I've been a Monster since I bought The Fame in '09, and I've liked each album since then more than the previous one (Yes, ARTPOP is my favorite, and I'm proud of it!) Anyway I've been listening to PI all day and playing it for all my friends! I was starting to annoy my roommate, so I decided to create an account on here so I could keep talking about it!
