Well, I love Gaga too, and Lorde, Kiiara, Marina and the Diamonds, Alanis, David Bowie... a bunch of different stuff. I just mentioned Kanye and Beyonce because they released albums recently which are really good. But this... oh, well.

People are too quick to assume the album will be bad. Consider all of Gaga's albums. Minus Bad Romance, none of the lead singles were the best song from the album. Sure, Applause performed the best, but Do What U Want was acclaimed as one of Gaga's best songs to date. Opening an era with your best track would be dumb because it'll all lose momentum. 

Initially I didn't like this track because the production seemed meh and the repetition was very clear. (Also still not a fan of the lift.) But when I listened to it with headphones I picked up on the little details and it's grown on me.

If you're here for Gaga to repeat an era, you're going to be disappointed. Gaga is a true artist. She evolves. She changes. Pretty drastically, for better or for worse. She makes music that's pop-friendly, but she's not going down the same road as everyone else (AKA minimalist R&B). She's being honest. She's doing what her heart is in. At least appreciate that. She's not selling out.

I love her voice on Perfect Illusion. It sounds so ****ing real and honest. What other pop bitch can sing like that? It reminds me of Swine a bit - I think this is where Gaga shines - pop-dance songs with her rock n' roll voice. I do think there will be better songs on LG5, however, which makes me really excited for it.

Nope, not my thing sadly. Very very very generic yet somehow not quite catchy enough to be a bob... I don't dislike it, just naah. Nothing New, innovative, interesting or anything. Basic basic and basic and slightly amateurish.

Though The album might still prove to be great. So I still remain optimistic.

Very very very generic and predictable review from you. You always bash her work and then you add in the end "hope the rest is better", as if it will make your comment any less biased and hater-like.

I just wanna say thank you Gaga for sharing this feeling with us. It's amazing, sad, raw but cathartic. I'm grateful for your talent and the fact that you share it with us.

I belive some of you forget Gaga is an artist.She's saying something with this song. She took a piece of feeling and shared it with us. She showed us what she feels. How many of you  can do the same? **** the charts and the top 10 or whatever! Who cares about that? You follow an artist, not her success with the GP.

Love Gaga to pieces but have to agree with you 100%. Hate when other Monsters are bashing people who don't like the song - like yeah, we don't like the song and we're entitled to our own opinions but we have good intentions and just want Gaga to do well. And quite frankly, I'd be surprised to see this song do well commercially.
