I was starting to brush it off at first listen because I thought it was too repetitive and it seemed like the song had no chorus WHATSOEVER. I was like, "that's it?" But I listened to it again to carefully analyze the song and what supposedly went wrong with it. But I started to love it. After each play. I kept getting surprised. It seemed like there was no chorus on purpose because the whole chorus/verse thing leads up to a huge bang, which was the key change and the rage-y "it wasn't love" thing which I love. It's DISCO ROCK. I love it. Overall I think this is her bravest single yet, and the song has topped Bad Romance in my book. No doubt about it. So good. Really good. During the first listening I was - C'mon this is so basic, then i listened it for a second time and the feeling was completely different. Now, after listening it 5 times already, I really like it. Living in the Netherlands sucks when almost all my favorite artists are releasing music in the middle of the night. This fanboy needs his sleep every now and then. I had to listen to Perfect Illusion a few times to truly appreciate it. I'm currently on my seventeenth listen and I'm loving it more every second. Her raw vocals gives me chills to the bone and I'm really digging these guitars you hear. I'm glad that you're never truly "stuck" in one specific genre with this amazing woman. Expand my musical taste, girl! I finally remembered my login details to this account I created one year ago so this is my first post here. I've been lurking here every day for the last couple of years, but now that the LG5 era has officially begun, I found it the perfect time to become active on here myself. Hello, monsters! I don't know if this is like just a first feeling or it will stay. I think I wasn't expecting something like this, the chorus sounds little worked for me.
