It's a bit repetitive, but that's probably also the reason it feels so catchy. Don't like it better or worse than BR, JD, BTW or Applause, but it's in it's own league. Again she managed to reinvent herself, so I applaud her for that. In the beginning I was a bit confused and waiting for the chorus to come, just before I realized I heard the chorus already twice . I'm curious if the Radio's will pick this song up tho, praying for them to play the hell out of it, because it's a big grower. I got really overwhelmed at first listen in a good way. Everything that's going on in the song makes it sound extremely epic and I was just not ready for it. It's everything I love about Gaga's songs, and then some. PI was definitely worth the wait. She's done it again. I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas. The structure is weird, the introduction should have been extended, there should have a been a music break somewhere using that INCREDIBLE intro with the guitar licks, and the vocals really should have been toned down. I can appreciate the vocals had this been a live performance I am connecting to in person, but for a record, they're too extreme, let alone a lead single after a career resurrection that was 2 years in the making. The constant shouting, the repetitive chorus that doesn't have much melody, the annoying accent on "Illusion". I just hope there are good songs on the album.
