I'd like to think that she is a renaissance woman of the arts or at least wants to be so she wants to be good at or at least try/do everything and not be restricted by a specific genre to operate under. Gaga has ALWAYS been rock influenced, you can hear it in the way she presents her songs when they're done live. She doesn't just press play, she makes them rock with instruments.
