We go through 3 billion barrels each month? :what:

Approximately

We consume a little under 100 Million Barrels a day

So every 10 days we consume 1 Billion Barrels. 3 Billion barrels takes 30 days

A little less cause the world hasnt crossed the 100 Million a day mark yet. But just giving u a rough idea

Thank goodness.

This means I may have a job on an oil tanker this winter

I doubt they will be extracting oil from it by winter

getting permits to drill and building infrastructure to transport and hiring service providers for stuff etc takes a while

Sorry, I'm meaning winter by Canada's summer

My school uses opposites, because most of our jobs are in the south

Dramatica

Now the real question is, is this gonna push oil companies to make better lubes for the bottoms?

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

Another excuse to burn more fossil fuels :nails:

Maybe, but fossil fuels made a lot possible in our past. Eventually renewables will be usable in the mainstream.

This wont make a difference in ppls opinion

With new fracking technologies, oil sands extractions etc, oil running out is an issue that has been pushed down for the next few generations

environment issues are now the only concern to reduce fossil fuel consumption cause supply problems arent happening as soon as we thought 10 years ago

Has this had any impact on the oil prices today? :excited2:

Like none

traders dont care about this because it will be a while before any of this makes it to market

and even when it does, on a global scale it will make no difference. Oil fields are pumped over a period of several years. When you spread 3 Billion barrels over several years, the impact is negligeable

However im sure Apaches stock jumped. For a single company its a big deal!
