I don't think so. I think that the KP4 music will be more commercial.

You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you.

Did I say other stans weren't bad? I just happen to be part of this fanbase and we're on Gaga Daily so naturally I'm going to talk about ...... Gaga fans. The whole thing's pathetic and childish. This is essentially just "...yeah, but he started it!"

The point is that monsters always refer to Madonna fans (used to be Britney's too) as jealous and bitter cos of Gaga's success and everyone was calling her the new queen of pop. Then Katy came out on top in 2013 and now monsters are just as bad to her and her fans, and it's laughably embarrassing. Every single thread on here about Katy quickly fills up with hatred. Some stuff is really bad. Sometimes she's brought up in threads that aren't remotely related to her. It's sad that we've sunk that low and have now developed a reputation for that.

What the hell does Lana and her fans have to do with anything? Because she's in my avatar? Seriously? :deadbanana:

If Gaga gets blocked by another pop girl with LG5 the attention will shift to them and Katy will be forgotten about like Madonna. It's a petty cycle that a majority of Gaga's tweeny fans follow.

It's extremely frustrating that you can't ever discuss KP on here because the threads turn into a vicious playground of negativity and insults. It'd be nice to discuss her discography and career in a mature way like we can with every other artist on here but sadly today isn't that day and tomorrow isn't looking too good either. It's stale.

Thank god I'm not a fan of hers is all I can say :duck:

I just can't fathom the immaturity of it. Really, what's the point?

'Rise' was intended to be mediocre song with even worse lyrics. Katy Perry was noticed and that's all they wanted to achieve because she's preparing for KP4. She even pointed that 'Rise' isn't album material so people wouldn't think that her incoming album is as bad as this single lol.

I think there is definitely a clue here that Katy's whole deal as a massively commercial artist has run its course. It's not just Rise's performance, it's a whole host of other factors. The first being, the fact that only 2/5 singles from her last album were hits (and the last 2 were flops, making this her third consecutive flop, something she has never done before). This was a big step down from TD and is always a sign in the industry that bad times loom ahead, commercially speaking. Next is the fact that her tour was the most successful of her career. That would usually be a good thing, but as we've seen in recent times...it can actually mean the opposite. It means your chances of topping that total the next time are slim but also, considering she went almost everywhere (except Africa), she'll have really drained those regions of their money and interest. She had a big Asian leg, a big Latin leg and a humongous Australian leg of the kind that only Pink can do. That means that these regions will have much, much limited interest in her when she tours next time. We saw the downfall Gaga had with MB to BTW and then from BTW to artRave. It's not uncommon to go from multiple sold-out arena shows in a country (MB Australia) to doing barely any next time (artRave Australia). That's why artists only go to certain continents once every second tour (sometimes even third). If you look through the countries that she visited, she'll have no chance of going back there again next time. It'll probably look like the artRave - sticking to the biggest countries and the richest cities but leaving out small nations, poor nations and entire continents. Also, she put those UK tickets on sale before she did that terrible live performance on UK X Factor where ticket buyers were outraged and wished they could get a refund. Now factor in those people who saw her live and realised she can't sing. Next, her age. She'll be 32 next month. This will be her first album in her 30's and as we've seen before, the public can move on from female popstars once they hit the big 3-0. It's sad, but it's true. Childish pop doesn't cut it at this stage, Katy's got to prove that she can do more than candy pop if she wants to keep getting success as an older artist. And now it all comes down to this - Rise is a new Katy Perry track. That alone should have made it sell above all else. It didn't matter that it wasn't a single from a new album, it's a new track from a highly successful artist, it's for the Olympics, it's commercial, it got promo, it should have done well. It was basically a grown up version of Roar and that song had been massive. Her team sure treated it as if it was a proper single, considering it got a proper music video just starring Katy and they couldn't wait to get rid of that Olympics coverage version and make it all about her. She had Max Martin as producer, for crying out loud. Her team designed this to be a decent hit. And it wasn't. This is a problem. For someone who has nearly 20 million YouTube subscribers, Rise's views and likes are shockingly low. Rise has been up a month and already Ariana's new single (the third single off an album that's been an underperformance) has already got more likes and it was only released 6 days ago. It's only 12 million views behind too. Ariana has over 6 million less subscribers than Katy.

And for those of you saying that Rise can be compared to TIHTY - that comparison is utterly pointless as TIHTY clearly wasn't meant to be a hit. It was a side project. Gaga isn't even in the video. It wasn't promoted anywhere close to the extent that Rise was. It wasn't made with hit writers and producers. The whole subject matter ensured that it wasn't a hit whereas Rise was intended to be an empowerment anthem for 2 purposes - the Olympics and Hilary's campaign. It's obvious which one was meant to be a hit and which was meant to be about passion and simply helping Gaga's downtime profile.

Yeah I heavily doubt her new era is gonna be as big as her last, this will be her ARTPOP people are tired of her. I mean look she only had 2 big singles off of her last album despite having an amazing team and proper promotion.

No. A flop doesn't end you. Hell, a whole album of flops doesn't end you. And lol at people saying "hopefully" this site is so immature. :rip:

Pressure on this forum to take KP down is ridiculous and should be treated with WPs. Grow up people :saladga:

Little Monsters trash and drag Gaga here and it's normal talk, but somehow Katy has to have invincibility in a GAGA FORUM? :toofunny:

Yep Kopy her gimmicks already bored the GP since they found younger, better looking and more talented artists that offer the same kind of music as her but better

I felt like Rise wasn't supposed to be the lead. But during the moment where Olympics had happened, why not go for free promo? Sad thing though, they didn't push it enough. It could have been the other way around. I still have faith in Keti.

Nah mindless, stupid and incessant bashing of any artist shouldn't be tolerated. It just so happens that Katy is #1 target on here due to jealousy and bitterness. It's sad.
